Zac Efron stars in A24’s The Iron Claw in Mystery Role

Zac Efron will star in an upcoming film about the Von Erich family. A24 has announced that Efron has been cast in the film The Iron Claw. The film is based on the story of the famous wrestling family. The family has had a major impact on wrestling since the 1960s, which is still felt in the sport today.

The family of wrestlers includes Fritz von Eric, Kevin from Eric, David from Eric, Kerry from Eric, Mike from Ericand Chris from Eric. family members marshal and Ross by Eric are still active in wrestling. The two are currently signed to Major League Wrestling. They are currently the longest-reigning MLW World Tag Team Champions. The character Efron will play in the film has not yet been announced. Efron’s work to date includes this year’s fire starter (directed by Keith Thomas), gold (directed by Anthony Hayes) and 2019 Extremely evil, shockingly evil and hideous (directed by Yeah Berlinger).

The Iron Claw is led by Sean Durkin. Durkin’s previous directing credits include 2011 Martha Marcy May Marlene2020s The nestand Channel 4 series Southcliffe. He will also write the film’s screenplay. Tessa Ross, Derrin Schlesingerand Harrison Huffman will be producers for the film. The Iron Claw was developed by House Productions in conjunction with Access Entertainment and BBC Films. A24 will produce and also finance the film.

A24 was successful this year with the critically acclaimed film Everything everywhere at once (directed by Daniel Kun and Daniel Scheinert). The studio’s list of upcoming films includes the upcoming live-action/animated mockumentary Marcel the Shell with shoes ondirected by Dean Fleischcer Camp. It is based on a 2010 short film also directed by Fleischer-Camp. Marcel the shell with shoes on is scheduled to hit theaters on June 24th. Another movie coming out on A24 this year will be the upcoming horror movie body body body. The film was directed Halina Reijn and stars Amanda Stenberg, Maria Bakalovam and Myhala Herrold. It is scheduled to be released on August 5th.

No official release date has been announced The Iron Claw. In the meantime, fans can currently catch Efron in his latest film fire startercurrently available to stream on Peacock.
