With the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase just around the corner, Xbox Game Pass is already announcing some upcoming “surprises”.
June is here and with it comes a wave of video game announcements. Scheduled to air June 12, the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase is packed with reveals for game releases in 2022 and beyond. However, the showcase isn’t all Xbox fans have to look forward to in June. Xbox Game Pass has already announced several game releases for June. But that’s not all, the subscription service also hints that there are more Xbox Game Pass surprises to come.
As part of its June 2022 announcement, the Xbox Game Pass team fretted a little to close their blog post. The news urges Xbox Game Pass fans to keep an eye on various social media channels for future announcements and release dates. It also mentions that there might be “a few surprises every now and then” that Xbox Game Pass subscribers should watch out for.
Exactly what kind of surprises Xbox Game Pass has in store hasn’t been confirmed, but given the past few years, it’s likely the service will have a variety of announcements to make this month. This includes additional game releases for the month of June, surprise announcements of games coming to service immediately, new partners who will bring their games to service on day one, and possibly new technical features or service enhancements previously unknown.
The message from the Xbox Game Pass team pointed to the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase on June 12 for the next update on what’s in the works. Subscribers need to watch the show to see what’s next for Xbox Game Pass. It’s unclear if there will be a section of the presentation dedicated to Xbox Game Pass, or if news will simply be shared alongside each game’s individual presentation.
It’s also unclear if there will be other Xbox Game Pass events or announcements alongside the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase. There will obviously be the regularly scheduled revelations, at least for the second half of June. But there could be an Xbox Game Pass-specific showcase or [email protected] event with additional reveals.
It’s safe to assume that regardless of what announcements Xbox makes and where it makes them, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be excited to hear what they hear in June. This is the biggest opportunity of the year to get new subscribers to check out Xbox Game Passso the service should deliver.
