Wolves striker Hwang targeted by ‘discriminatory insults’ in preseason friendly

Wolves have called for a UEFA investigation after reporting that striker Hwang Hee-chan was the target of “discriminatory insults” during a friendly against Portuguese club Farense.

Wolves drew 1-1 at Farense in their last friendly before the start of the Premier League season, with the club claiming after the game that the South Korean had been abused by home fans.

The alleged incident came after the striker scored a penalty, nullifying an early opener by Farenses Christian Ponde.
