Celebrity MasterChef 2022 has officially crowned its winner, and Lisa Snowdon takes home the coveted trophy.
Competing against fellow finalists Danny Jones and Melanie Blatt, she was left “on cloud nine” when her victory was announced.
She broke down in tears and said: “I’m honestly so blown away. It’s such a life changing experience.
“I have a feeling this isn’t real. I just can’t believe it. I couldn’t have wanted to win something that meant more to me.
“I can’t wait to tell my mum, dad and nephew. I’m on cloud nine. I love it. I love it!’
Lisa triumphed after six weeks of challenges, culminating in a three-course meal to impress judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace.
Her winning menu consisted of a starter of poached rhubarb and fried mackerel with fennel salad and thyme oil, while her main course was roast duck breast on sunflower seed puree with pickled, sautéed and fried mushrooms and cavolo nero.
Finally, she served chocolate tart with a cigar filled with crème fraîche and sour cherries.
John said: “During this competition, Lisa took the ordinary and elevated it to something special.
“In that final she took a gamble on what would be a gamble and the gamble paid off. Your food is fantastic.”
Gregg added, “Faint heart never lifts a MasterChef title and that’s why Lisa is our Celebrity MasterChef Champion.”
This year’s competition featured the following stars: Cliff Parisi, Kitty Scott-Claus, Jimmy Bullard, Faye Winter, Lesley Joseph, Clarke Peters, Adam Pearson, Katya Jones, Kirsty Gallacher, Richard Blackwood, Ryan Thomas, Gareth Malone, MoJo, Chris Eubank, Paul Chuckle, Kae Kurd, and Nancy Dell’Olio.
Celebrity MasterChef can be caught up on BBC iPlayer.
