Twitch streamer, TikTok star, and Instagram influencer Danyell “TheDanDangler” has had a rough patch on the streaming platform. The Detroit, Michigan native streams the battle royale game Call of Duty: Warzone in addition to her Whirlpool content, which has gotten her into multiple troubles on Twitch.
The 22-year-old streamer started her career on Twitch in 2020 but has since been banned from the platform five times. Aside from a few suspensions for inappropriate attire on stream, she also once received a ban for a DMCA claim during Twitch’s TV Meta.
During the ban, she made headlines when she tweeted that she was ill during her suspension and called on Twitch to provide paid sick leave to its partner streamers. The tweet was badly received and has since been deleted, with some users still making fun of it in their posts to this day.

Everything you need to know about TheDanDangler
Born in 1999, Danyell is a 22-year-old Twitch streamer from Michigan who became a partner streamer in February 2020. She says the name “TheDanDangler” comes from an abbreviation of her first name, as well as a nickname she received while playing soccer.
She was in college when she started streaming, graduating with a degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Illustration. Outside of streaming, she has said she is rescuing English bull terriers.
Their content mostly consists of gaming streams (Warzone) and whirlpool streams. She has captained seven times for COD: Warzone Twitch Rivals events, as well as twice for the ill-fated Ubisoft battle royale game Hyper Scape.
TheDanDangler’s whirlpool streams have been a double-edged sword for her streaming career. While they’ve helped push her streaming career beyond what only her gaming content can and reached a wider demographic, it’s also resulted in her receiving numerous bans.
A ban she received in early 2022 came during the TV Meta, where many streamers watched content like reality TV shows and anime on stream.
She watched the TV series Forged in fire, in her stream and received a DMCA claim and a two-day ban for doing so. Her ban-time tweet said she had racked up $4,000 in hospital bills and also accused the streaming platform of doing “ABSOLUTELY NOTHING” when it came to people taking time off.
Although TheDanDangler has been derided for her past stances on Twitch, she remains a vocal critic of the platform’s uneven enforcement of her policies, particularly in relation to Whirlpool streams. After her last ban, which was granted to her in July 2022, she needs to be extra careful as no one knows when Twitch might finally decide to permanently ban someone.
