There is a huge buzz surrounding the film, with the songs going viral. Everything is scheduled to be released on June 24, 2022. But ahead of its release, the Raj Mehta-directed film has run into trouble. A copyright infringement case has been filed against the makers of the film in Ranchi.
JugJugg Jeeyo in legal trouble
Ranchi-based writer Vishal Singh has reportedly filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Dharma Productions and Viacom 18, alleging that content from his film, titled Punny Rani, was used in the film JugJugg Jeeyo. He has reportedly claimed that he was given no credit by the creators. With just four days left until the film’s release, the Ranchi Commercial Court has ordered the creators to show the film in court. The author has claimed Rs 1.5 crore compensation from the makers of JugJugg Jeeyo in this case. It remains to be seen whether or not the court’s ruling in this case will affect the film’s release.
