So far:
CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Some very long, very heavy steel bridge trusses will be moving through Clarksville starting around 11:00 a.m. today, with a route down Boot Hill.
“The bridge beams are en route to Clarksville for delivery with an estimated time of arrival between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.,” police spokesman Scott Beaubien said. “CPD is advising the public to take alternative routes during this time frame or prepare for a temporary delay while they clear the intersections.”
The trucks will be from the Dover area, so the route will be from Dover Road to Providence Boulevard, right on Providence to go down Boot Hill, then right onto Riverside Drive, then right onto Hwy 48/13, said Beaubien.
CPD traffic units will escort the trucks, and when they arrive at the Providence and Riverside intersections, as well as Riverside Drive and 48/13, the intersections will be closed for 15 to 20 minutes.
Eleven of these rays come today, Friday and Saturday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
The preliminary plan is to bring four spans on Thursday, three spans on Friday and four more on Saturday, Beaubien said.
The girders are for the Highway 48/13 Bridge over the Cumberland River under construction south of Clarksville.
