Popular Twitch streamer Macaiyla admits she deserved to be banned for her recent actions without explaining what those actions entailed.
Former Cloud9 and current Pull out Streamer Macaiyla was recently banned for so long she felt she had to apologize to her fans. The 23-year-old Twitch personality has also made it clear that her latest punishment could be the wake-up call she needed.
While troubles with the streaming platform may be a badge of honor for some of the site’s personalities, it doesn’t seem like that was ever really Macaiyla’s goal. While she’s had a few issues over the year, she’s not really considered someone like Amouranth, who is routinely accused of seeking drama. However, the popular streamer is in hot water with the platform and barring a lift of her recent ban, she will be taking an extended hiatus from the site.
Twitter account StreamerBans was the first to break the news about Macaiyla, announcing that she has been banned, although, as is customary, he did not reveal how long she would be out. The streamer herself confirmed not long after that she had indeed suffered a suspension, noting that it was a full two weeks. She also made it clear that she will appeal the ban and hope to return to the air sooner.
Acknowledging the ban, the popular Twitch streamer admitted she was fined for “hateful behavior towards a group” but also claimed that the same was not the case towards Koreans or Asians. Additionally, Macaiyla declined to clarify whether she knew which group she was accused of hate speech against or what the context of the allegation was.
The popular girlfriend of fellow Twitch streamer Tyler1 apparently had to clarify that this ban wasn’t aimed at hate speech against Koreans or Asians, as she recently came under fire for her thoughts on the well-known Vietnamese dish, Pho. In a previous tweet, Macaiyla commented on how she hated the smell of pho and appeared to imply that the meat in the dish was dog, which in turn prompted quite angry comments on social media aimed at her shot.
Apparently, Macaiyla is not one of those on Twitch’s do-no-ban list and needs to make things right after her recent suspension, and she has expressed regret for her actions from time to time. In a subsequent tweet, the streamer said she was glad she was banned because she “turns 24 this year,” and said she needed to stop “acting like that.” Those comments still left a mystery as to what actions led to the Twitch ban.
