One of the many Sony films set to make their way onto Netflix during the first pay window is Unexplored and we finally got word that it will be dropping into service in July 2022 specifically on July 15th. This only applies to the United States for the time being, details on other regions will follow.
Based on the PlayStation video games that have released various entries over the past decade, the film will see Tom Holland take on the role of legendary fortune hunter Nathan Drake.
The film was a hit for Sony earlier this year, grossing over $400 million at the box office, but reviews were ultimately mixed.
Joining Holland are Mark Wahlberg as Sully, Sophia Taylor Ali as Chloe and Tati Gabrielle as Braddock. A lot more is known about the Uncharted film, but you can see a comprehensive preview for it here, compiled by GamesRadar.

When will Sony bring Uncharted to theaters?
From the looks of it, Sony plans to release it Unexplored on February 18, 2022 (although originally scheduled for July 2021 and recently pushed back from February 11 to February 18), meaning we use our super math skills (extending a date by a number of days) and approximate when we can expect Tom Hollands Unexplored to meet Netflix.
When is Uncharted coming to Netflix?
As we alluded to, we don’t know the exact number of days, but with past Starz releases it could be anywhere from 120 to 223 days.
That means we expected Netflix to air the film sometime between mid-July 2022 and late September 2022.
Now we have confirmation that the film will be released on Netflix exactly 119 days after its theatrical release Unexplored is scheduled for release on Netflix on July 15, 2022.

Netflix was then supposed to broadcast the film for 18 months before it leaves the service for Disney’s various services (although in this case we suspect it will be released on Hulu). With the above release date, that means the film shouldn’t leave the service until January 15, 2024.
Will other Netflix regions get Uncharted?
We are not aware of any additional offerings for other Netflix regions outside of the United States at this time. However, many regions currently have secondary window rights to Sony’s output. That would mean the film would be added in late 2023 or early 2024, but that’s just speculation.
We’ve also released date estimates for a few other Sony films slated for release on Netflix in the US as part of the sweeping new deal, including disease (which will be the first film to arrive under the deal) and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2.
Pending Sony’s film releases, we highly recommend checking out Nathan Filion’s role in this YouTube short uploaded in 2019. It’s epic.
