A look at the event between Marina Khan & the Makers
Marina Khan posted a note on her Instagram a few days ago that read: “To all my Instagram followers. I am very upset that this film will be released as I did not get paid the full amount they promised me from the producers. Also, they kept delaying the signing of the contract.
So technically I could probably issue a publication residency order if I wanted to, but I’m lazy and honestly don’t give a damn anymore. All I can say to the producers of this film is shame on you.”
Then the creators released a strong statement to recover from the actor’s allegations. Explaining that “the film was sponsored exclusively by another group, Beeline Productions informed that they hope to resolve the shortcoming regarding the actor’s payment not from their side, but from the other company that previously paid Yaara Vey , Elite Films, had sponsored.”
“We recently became aware that payments from certain artists were outstanding. Beeline Productions is now in a court case with Elite Films, who signed the artist contracts.”
Addressing the matter directly to Khan, the statement further said, “We understand and acknowledge the concerns of Marina Khan, a highly respected member of the entertainment industry and part of our film’s family. With sincere regards, we want to make it clear that as the sole sponsors of Yaara Vey and honorable professionals, we believe in transparency and will not stand idly by for wrongdoing and wrongdoing on our behalf or on behalf of our company.”
“Love our film family” – Maker
It continued, “However, we are aware that legal actions will take time to be resolved and in the meantime we have reached out to Marina Khaná, who is very dear to our film family, with the intention of fulfilling the until obliged to indemnify for their duties to act, regardless of the process and outcome of the litigation.”
The banner then shared, “We deeply regret the inconvenience the honored actor has endured and look forward to their support as we finalize the film for its upcoming release under the Beeline Productions banner.”
final fight
Yesterday, Marina Khan herself posted a note thanking her followers and fellow cast members for their support in the situation. “I am overwhelmed and so grateful for all the love and support you have all given me. I never expected or intended my expression of frustration to draw so much attention.
I am also surprised and impressed by the power that social media has, clearly more than any contract in our industry seems to do.
As a result of everything that has happened over the past few days, concerns have arisen and I have been receiving the amount owed to me for over two years now,” added the Tanhaiyan: Naye Silsilay actor.
Khan made sure their frustration wasn’t misplaced. “However, I want to be clear that my frustration was directed at UAE-based Elite Productions, with whom I signed the deal for this film. They still seem to be missing in action,” the actor explained.
On the other hand, court cases are ongoing between Beeline Productions and Elite Films. Since Beeline Productions has undertaken to make the outstanding payments itself.
Khan confirmed this, writing, “Beeline Productions, the film’s main sponsor, Yaara Vey, who has retained Elite Films to manage production and artist payments, has now stepped up and taken on the responsibility of paying the balance owed to me.”
“Gratitude to my fans” – Marina Khan
Marina Khan concluded the note by thanking her fans and shedding some light on budding professionals in the industry who continue to suffer from unprofessionalism and unclear policies: “I am grateful to my fans and feel privileged for this support.
I feel for all those who are not as blessed as I am and have suffered in the past and continue to suffer in my industry at the hands of irresponsible producers, and even producers suffering at the hands of irresponsible artists where there seems little relief from our treaties and our legal system,” she noted.
Marina Khan has always been famous for her iconic role in Tanhaiyyan, which is known even across the border where fans are cherishing classic memories of Pakistani dramas.
