Start Pitcher Streamer Leaderboards – 6/12 & 6/13

Each day of the 2022 baseball season, I will look at today’s and tomorrow’s list of scheduled pitchers and rank their matchups for your fantasy baseball streams.

There’s a lot that goes into it and you can hang out with me on Twitch.tv/pitcherlist to talk about the specific pitches I do every weekday morning from 9am to 11am ET. If you have any questions about these ranks, please ask them during the morning Twitch AMA. These are my office hours as I generally do not respond to comments on the site.

There are four tiers to this ranking for 12 teamers:

Auto start – Just do it. Don’t think about it, start with the man.

Probably beginning – I’ll probably start with these weapons, although I recognize the risk is greater than we would like. It’s either a tough matchup for a good pitcher or a weak lineup for a fugitive arm.

Questionable start – There are situations where I would take the risk, either with a strong enough advantage on the skill side or a bad offense for a pitcher to exploit.

Don’t start – The reward is not worth the risk. Do not do it.

Obviously, there will be circumstances where pitchers should rotate between teams specific to your situation, and these new tiers should provide a little more help than last year’s straight table.

Please keep in mind that streaming is far from a perfect game. In fact, if they exercise more than half the time, I would call it a success. These matchup rankings and streamer picks will vary wildly from actual results throughout the year, so please excuse the scathing comments and tweets. I’m just trying to help!

Be sure to read the notes if you’re wondering why I choose certain pitchers over others – I won’t go into all of them and hopefully answer any questions you may have.

There is a second table for tomorrow is Also, start pitcher matchups and help everyone use their nightly pickups. Please note, however, these matchups are subject to change will let’s be where I’ve got the wrong pitcher running. Thank you for your future understanding.

Finally, there are my streaming picks of the day, and please keep that in mind I am forced to choose a streamer every day. Those highlighted in it Green are in the second row and I would roll with them anywhere. The most common are those in Yellow in the third tier and should be decent if you’re looking some on a specific day. After all, these are Red is that me Yes, really don’t want to start (after all, they’re marked “Do Not Start”) but have no choice. Don’t stream these guys until you’re really desperate. A streaming pick is defined as “listed in 20% or fewer leagues,” meaning Yes, really stresses that I would be happy if over 50% of these worked. I could do the whole sub 30/40% lineup, but it’s no fun. You can instead use the rankings to see who those picks would be.

As I do my rankings, I thought it would be helpful to present a table showing how we rank offenses. Dave Swan makes one unbelievable Task to feature future SP matches every 2-3 weeks in this article and I decided to use his Offensive ranks to share them with all of you here:

I’m sure it will change throughout the year + there are differences between teams and LHP or RHP but it’s a great general chart to keep in mind for all of you.

Streamer record 2022: 40-23

Today’s Starting Pitcher Rankings

• Phenomenal matches are few to land on Sunday, making for a potentially wild final day of H2H Matchups. Buckle up.
• Take Carlos Rodon and Tarik Skubal, for example. Rodón has been far from his best lately and now faces the strong Dodgers while Skubal looked like an ace and has a real challenge against the Jays. I’ll start with both since their tops are elite and there’s a slim chance of hitting their bottoms.

• I’m in the lead in the second division Jameson Taillon despite his tough outing. He’s still smart with his approach to kitchen sinks and the Cubs don’t pose a big enough threat.
• I expect Mike Clevinger to return from his illness to start in the best condition on Sunday Rockie Street match. Maybe he’s a bit limited or best with one more rest day. We will see. To update: No, Clevinger was placed on the COVID IL. Too bad. I wouldn’t start Tear Knehr in his place

• We didn’t fall in Julio Urías like in 2021, but he’s still a great arm in your lineup most of the time. I would still start it against a Giants team that is known to do better against southpaws.
• I can see some arguments with Patrick Sandoval Second division place against the Mets. He hasn’t had his first move in a while, although I think he still has enough in his repertoire to have a solid shot at success here. In short, it’s higher than a coin toss that he doesn’t hurt you, and I think that’s worth the ceiling he possesses.

• In the third division, I didn’t enjoy confronting myself Robbie Ray on top with his start against the Red Sox. After what I thought was an uptick, Ray decided to change his arsenal to focus more on sinkers for some reason, resulting in another bad outing. Now against Boston I have the least confidence in his success than ever (which of course will mean that this one Great Excursion). I would still start lean but it’s a tough task on a Sunday.

• Joining Ray is the streaming choice of the day cole irvin, as he faces the Guardians in Cleveland. He was a prolific Tobi and the Guardians are the kind of team to steam against. Pretty easy here.
• It becomes difficult to look at Edward Cabrera and Graham Ashcraft— two young starters who have caused quite a stir lately. Unfortunately, both are facing tough opponents in the Astros and heating Cardinals, and while they’ve both had success lately, their floors shouldn’t be ignored. I hope they float above.

• If you are looking for other options, Ranger Suarez and Ross Stripling could do well against the Sneks and Tigers. When in doubt, pick a player who could go 5+ for a winning team against a weak offense.
• Last, Jon Gray has been volatile this year, to say the least, and I shrug when asked if his slider or 96 mph speed will show up against the White Sox. I really hope at least one does.

• in the bottom row, Jason Alexander throws a ridiculous sinker that moves a ton across the zone and gives him a chance to get lucky in outs for five or more frames. I certainly don’t want to rely on it and put my WHIP at serious risk.
• If there was a beginning to believe in Germán Márquez, this was it. His slider was flawless last time out and he’s not just starting on the road, he’s competing against a Padres team hates against right-handers.

• Keep in mind – Tanner Houck threw 22 pitches on Friday night. If he actually starts Sunday for the Sawx (Garret Whitlock Beat the IL), then it won’t be long.

Tomorrow’s pitcher rankings

• The actual ranking list begins in the second stage. Alex Wood leads the way, having taken care of business last time, against it Rockie Street and gets another great matchup against the Royals. I would roll it out anywhere.
• I want to believe Blake Snell still packs a punch and a date with the Cubs should mean success. I understand the trepidation given his early struggles, but that seems relatively safe with a high ceiling.

• I have trust Christian Javier is much better than we have seen lately. As long as he has either breaker control in the zone or increased fastball command, he should excel against Texas.
• I love the look of Ian Andersons Changeup right now and if it stays for the Nationals it will return dividends on manager confidence.

• in the third stage, Merrill Kelly seems like a safe bet in a replay against the Reds. Don’t expect the world, but this should help.
• The streaming pick of the day is weird Johnny Cueto as he faces the tigers. He could hit six frames with ease and the Tigers aren’t the ones to worry about.

• I’m thinking about it Brady Singer a coin toss that moves forward since it is a cherry bomb. I wouldn’t consider the Giants an elite attacking force right now, making this a decent play if you’re looking to gamble early in the week.
• Speaking of gambling, mike minor was not productive in his first two starts of the season. However, we expect the rust to fully peel off at some point, and now that he has the Sneks under his belt a second time with more innings, it could be a positive evening.

• In the bottom row when you need to hunt strikes, of everyone johns means go for Josiah Gray or Mitch Keller. I think the floor is too risky to chase the reward but hey go for it. Can you do that too, Mitch? You’re welcome do you have the same slider as last time? thank you
• The only other arm of the actual consideration is Chris Flexen as he faces the twins. The man has previously been able to play more than 6 innings for a winning team, but these are the Twins and he’s in a rough patch. I would not do that.
