South Sydney’s recent eight-game winning streak against St George Illawarra was severely defeated when an incredible first-half offensive performance put the Dragons to 32 unanswered points against an unlucky Bunnies side.
Although no goal was scored in the second half, the game was already over when Anthony Griffin’s men ran in six tries in a spectacular display.
The 32-12 win began when Ben Hunt chipped over the top to allow Zac Lomax to regroup and get back to his halfback, who went in under the post.

Then Talatau shared Amone Campbell Graham and Cameron Murray in a short side before laying it down for Mikaele Ravalawa to grab his first try since the season’s opening round.
When the Bunnies finally touched the ball again after seven unanswered sets for the Dragons, Lachlan Ilias put in a long goal to give St. George a seven-tackle set.
The Dragons rolled across the field and Moses Suli jumped highest to score another try against a shocked South Sydney.
The Dragons at one point had nine tackles within Souths’ 20-yard zone for five tries. And the nightmare continued as Cody Ramsey became the last player to score.
“30 points to zero!” Dan Ginnane continued to shout FoxLeague Comment.
“Last year’s big finalists will be humiliated at Win Stadium.”
Ilias’ night went from bad to worse after his fall from the opening whistle caused him to become hooked after just half an hour of play, while Murray joined him on the bench after failing to register a meter in his first term.
The Rabbitohs conceded three straight penalties in the shadow of halftime, in which Amone controversially sinned. But Jason Demetriou’s men couldn’t do with the field position or the one-man advantage to head into the break after football’s worst half so far this season.

Damien Cook scored the first try of the second half with a scoot off the dummy half to get the Bunnies on the board. Meanwhile, Murray went under the post untouched to register back-to-back tries.
However, a hunt intercept and then a series of mistakes by the Bunnies destroyed any momentum they could generate.
The two seek nothing but consolation when the bunnies’ miserable night ended in humiliation.
