Sounders vs. LAFC Live Stream: Game Time, TV Guide and Lineups

Posted on June 18, 2022

As 2022 progressed, the Seattle Sounders faced one major Test after another. So far, they’ve passed them, beating Liga MX’s Club León in the quarter-finals of the Concacaf Champions League; in the semifinals, the defending MLS Cup champions, New York City FC; and Pumas UNAM in the final. But the challenge on Saturday is a bit different. LAFC go into this game top of the Supporters’ Shield having scored a league-best 29 goals in the process.

Although LAFC go into this game on a two-game winning streak, it’s worth noting that they haven’t played since May 28th. Also of note is that eight of LAFC’s nine wins have come against teams not currently in the playoffs, and two of their three losses have come against teams in playoff ranks.

The Sounders, meanwhile, have won 4-of-5, including a 4-0 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps on Saturday, and just moved up to 7th place in the Western Conference.

  • LAFC has beaten the Sounders six times and drawn the same twice since entering the league in 2018. Only the Timbers (7) have beaten the Sounders more times during this period, and no one has avoided defeat more times.
  • LAFC has already had four road wins in 2022. They had just five road wins combined in 2020 and 2021.
  • The Sounders have three wins in the league this year. LAFC is the only team to have won every game in which they have led.
  • LAFC leads MLS this year with 10 goals from seven different substitutes. Only four teams in MLS history have scored more than 12 goals
