Secret Celebrity Renovation returns this summer with Boston Rob (survivor, above) to join the series design team. He appeared in the first season as one of the celebrities who gave someone a home makeover as a gift.
CBS revealed more about the return of this series in a press release.
“CBS today announced the premiere of Season 2 of the hit CBS original reality series SECRET CELEBRITY RENOVATION, which gives celebrities from the worlds of sports, music and entertainment the opportunity to give a surprising home renovation to the person who helped them succeed Friday, July 22 (8pm-9pm ET/PT), on the CBS TV network. The series can also be streamed live and on-demand on Paramount+*. Nischelle Turner (ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT) returns to host season two.
Rob “Boston Rob” Mariano (SURVIVOR), contractor and television personality, joins the design team, along with returned interior designer Sabrina Soto (“Design Star”, “Trading Spaces”).
This season’s celebrities showing their gratitude to someone in their hometown include Utkarsh Ambudkar (GHOSTS), Tony® Award winner Annaleigh Ashford, NBA All-Star Devin Booker, GRAMMY® Award winner and reality TV personality Kandi Burruss, Olympic Figure Skating Champion Nathan Chen, Super Bowl LVI Champion Aaron Donald, Billy Gardell (BOB HEARTS ABISHOLA), award-winning singer-songwriter Debbie Gibson, legendary NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal and the GRAMMY® nominee Singer Nicole Scherzinger.
“The deep connection between our celebrities and the people who have helped them on their journey to stardom is so vividly expressed in SECRET CELEBRITY RENOVATION Season 2,” said Executive Producer Robert Horowitz. “The emotional journey and amazing home transformations make this show a truly heartwarming hour of family viewing.”
During the show’s first season in summer 2021, Mariano was among the hands-on celebrities who gave their loved ones a heartfelt makeover. He returned to Boston to surprise his parents, who had made great sacrifices to help their son achieve his dream of winning SURVIVOR by renovating a kitchen and backyard patio.
The series is being produced by Juma Entertainment with Robert Horowitz, Brady Connell and Peter DeVita serving as executive producers.”
