While most soccer leagues around the world eschew the idea of an all-star game, celebrity, legends and testimonial games are one of the coolest aspects of world soccer. I’m not sure we’ve ever seen a line-up as full-fledged as Roberto Carlos and Ronaldinho’s friendly in Miami on Saturday.
Brazilian icons Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos kicked off The Beautiful Game exhibition series at DRV PNK Stadium in Miami on Saturday to raise money for charity. The squads of both teams were packed with legends of football past and present as well as some celebrities from outside the world of football.

Cafu, Carlos Valderrama, Rivaldo, Hristo Stoichkov, Radamel Falcao, David Trezeguet, René Higuita, Rafa Marquez, Deco, Patrick Kluivert. Paulo Dybala, Eder Militao, Arturo Vidal, Paul Pogba, Vinicius Jr., Weston McKennie, Alphonso Davies. Jimmy Butler, Chad Ocho Cinco, Leandro Barbosa, Steve Nash. And of course Ronaldinho and Roberto Carlos.
It doesn’t get more star-studded.
The game lived up to the hype with a 12-10 win for Team Roberto Carlos.

One of the coolest moments of the evening came when Ronaldinho linked up with current Brazil star Vini Jr and the Real Madrid winger celebrated the goal with a Ronaldinho celebration.

Former NFL wide receiver Ocho Cinco scored a brace, leading some to question if he’s the answer Gregg Berhalter has been looking for up front.

Despite the game taking place in Miami and many of the stars hailing from Central and South America, the Canadians reminded the world that they are a rising force in football. Alphonso Davies had a goal and NBA legend Steve Nash, a 48-year-old who currently coaches the Brooklyn Nets, showed good composure in front of goal to beat Higuita.
