In terms of distance, Sacramento is the Pacific Coast League city closest to Tacoma. But oddly enough, the Rainiers haven’t been here this season — until now, at Game #91.
The Tacoma Rainiers open a six-game series with the Sacramento River Cats tonight with the first pitch scheduled at 6:45. Tacoma and Sacramento have only played one series this season, a 3-3 draw at Cheney Stadium in late May.
