Hakan EricsonThe men of s will conceive the chance of two wins out of two for the first time since September 2020 as they take on an opponent they are unbeaten against in four of their last five teams-to-team encounters and record three wins and one draw during this time.
The Faroe Islands have picked up three points from a possible nine in Group C1 to sit third in the table, three points ahead of bottom-placed Lithuania and three points below Tuesday’s second-place visitors.

The 32-year-old was last eliminated with his warning against Lithuania Odmar Faroe joins Rene Shaki Joensen and Solvi Vatnhamar on the Faroe Islands suspension list.
Hordur Askham is doubtful for the hosts after the Havnar Boltfelag defender was sent off within the first 25 minutes of the aforementioned game.
With both centre-backs in the starting XI set to miss Tuesday’s clash, manager Ericson could fall back Sunny Nattestad and Heini Vatnsdal to represent in the heart of the back four.
Meanwhile, despite Tuesday’s loss to Turkey, Holtz was able to name an unchanged starting XI meaning we could see a back four Marvin Martins, Maxim Chanot, Michael Pint and Dirk Karlson shielding Anton Moris between the sticks.
However, Sheriff Tiraspol man Sebastian Till will be pushing for a grueling role in the middle of the park and could potentially fill in for the 21-year-old Matthew Olesenwho was substituted at half-time last time out after struggling to make his mark.
At the top, man from Norwich City Daniel Sinaniwho scored six goals and three assists on loan to Huddersfield Town was expected to lead attack and join forces with them for the third game in a row Gerson Rodrigues and Yvandro Borges-Sanches.
Luxembourg possible starting line-up:
Moris; Martins, Chanot, Pinto, Carlson; Sanches, Barreiro, Martins, S Thill; Sinani, Rodrigues
Faroe Islands possible starting line-up:
Nielsen; Rolantson, Nattestad, Vatnsdal, Davidsen; Bjartalid, Vatnhamar, Andreasen, Olsen; Olsen, Johannesen
We say: Luxembourg – Faroe Islands 1:1
We expect the Faroe Islands to struggle as a win here could put them level on points with the hosts in second place. However, they have only managed one win in their last 12 away games and we expect the spoils to be shared, with both sides settling for a point apiece.
