Poppy Delevingne falls in love with her best friend Ty Wood – son of Rolling Stone Ronnie

EMILY PRESCOTT: Poppy Delevingne is falling in love with her best friend Ty Wood – the son of Rolling Stone Ronnie and his ex-wife Jo

Ever since Poppy Delevingne split from her husband, friends have been wondering who the next lucky guy could be to catch the supermodel’s attention.

Now it seems the answer has been very close to home all along, as it appears her best friend Ty Wood, the son of Rolling Stone star Ronnie and his ex-wife Jo, has fallen for her.

The two have been close since they were teenagers and share the same celebrity social circle, including Sienna Miller and Rita Ora. They are often seen fooling around for cameras, looking into each other’s eyes and wrapping their arms around each other.

All along they seem to have fallen in love with each other, even if they didn’t realize it themselves.

Apparently, Poppy Delevingne's best friend Ty Wood - the son of Rolling Stone star Ronnie and his ex-wife Jo - has fallen in love with her. (The couple are pictured at a Halloween party in 2019)

Their friendship was cemented in 2019 when Poppy, 36, and her sister Cara agreed to be the celebrity faces of Ty’s marine conservation organization Project Zero.

According to a source there, the friendship turned to affection for Ty around this time.

At the time, however, Poppy was still living with her husband James Cook, from whom she is now separated.

So Ty, who previously dated model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley as well as pop star Ora, had to wait patiently until James and Poppy officially split, which they did when she moved out of the marital home in January. Ty, 38, hasn’t had a girlfriend in three years.

A representative for Jo Wood said:

A rep for Jo Wood said, “I know she’s positive about the relationship with Poppy.” (Jo is pictured with her son and also Jay Rutland in the middle in 2018)

My source says, “Ty was starting to realize that his feelings for Poppy had changed a while ago. He hasn’t been this happy since Rosie and his mum Jo is happy for him. Who wouldn’t be happy for him? He fell in love with his best friend – and it seems she feels the same way. Ty and Poppy’s love for each other has hid in plain sight for years. Even they didn’t notice.’

In January, this column revealed that James and Poppy’s eight-year marriage was effectively over after a long clandestine split.

Labour’s Jess Phillips once complained that it was “absolutely unfair” that Google effectively only pays 3% tax in the UK.

So I was surprised to learn that she transferred £400 for a few words at one of the tech giant’s events last year.

Her payment was revealed in a new entry in the Commons register.

How have the mighty fallen! Hairdresser Nicky Clarke is now working in his brother Michael’s salon in Marylebone, central London, after his own venue in Mayfair closed in April.

A source says: “Michael was kind enough to offer Nicky a chair in his salon so he could keep up with some of his remaining clients. He does a day or two here and there.’
