Noah Turbeville had been a roller.
On Nov. 18, the Point Loma-San Diego senior running back was on a tidal wave, leading his team to a 49-14 victory over Del Norte in a Division III Sectional semifinal. San Diego.
The 5-foot-6, 170-pound player rushed 17 times for 409 yards and three touchdowns, after amassing 124, 120 and 145 yards in three straight wins. His 409-yard outing pushed him to over 1,000 yards for the season.
The big outing earned Turbeville a spot on the SBLive Southern California performance list.
It was then that Turbeville’s week became even more prolific. His friends and fans turned out in droves to elect him as the SBLive Southern California Athlete of the Week for games played November 17-19.
He racked up 6,330 votes, a 71.01 percentage of the tallies. He easily edged out runner-up Kaleb Foster, a running back from Lakewood, who garnered 28.52% of the vote.

Dane Dunn, Sierra Canyon Soccer: Dunn rushed for 193 yards and two touchdowns in Friday’s semifinal win over Bishop Amat.
Jackson Kollock, Laguna Beach Soccer: Kollock finished Friday’s win over Norte Vista with 196 passing yards and five passing touchdowns.
KJ Chatham, Lincoln Football: Chatham passed for 261 yards, rushed for 59 yards and threw three fourth-quarter touchdowns in Lincoln’s comeback win over Carlsbad for the San Diego Division Open Division Championship.
