According to Deadline, five-time Oscar nominee and one-time winner, Nicole KidmanShe announced her latest project. Just a few months after her hit film Be the Ricardos Landed in theaters and on Prime Video, the actress has reunited with the studio to star in the lead role Mimi cave (Fresh) helmeted thriller, Holland, Michigan. In addition to starring, Kidman will add a producer to her credits Per Saari under the actress’ Blossom Films.
Related to Andrew Sodroski‘s (manhunt) script, the plot for Holland, Michigan sounds exactly like kidman’s alley. The plot focuses on a woman living in a small Midwestern town who believes her husband is cheating. Understandably upset and unprepared, the wife takes matters into her own hands and begins an affair of her own, only to learn that something more sinister than she could have ever imagined is happening to her husband, who is leading a double life. The feature is described as Hitchcock-esque, meaning it promises to bring the uncanny mystery already set up by the plot description. Sodroski’s screenplay was one of the hottest commodities on Black List in 2013, a platform connecting aspiring writers with studios and filmmakers.
As we’ve already mentioned, with Kidman’s background in edgy thrillers, the actress is a perfect choice for the lead Holland, Michigan. In the past she has appeared in projects including HBO’s crime drama, Big little liesand The doomas well as the seat edge filled with twist, The others – all of which cemented her name in the thriller genre. She’s been showing up lately Robert Eggers‘ dark and gritty action-packed feature, The Northmanand the Hulu series, Nine perfect strangers.
