In a stunning display of skill and dedication, a Fallout: New Vegas player has managed to achieve the virtually impossible by earning all of the in-game achievements while playing for just a single session. This particular feat was accomplished by popular YouTuber ItsJabo during an extended 11 hour and 4 minute live stream.
Fallout: New Vegas was originally released back in 2010 but remains a popular game among fans of the RPG genre, especially titles from publisher Bethesda. The game’s strong story and sprawling open world have made it the perfect platform for players to experiment with speedrunning and various other self-imposed limitations. ItsJabo’s success is a testament to the game’s enduring appeal and, of course, the creativity of its community.
In order to succeed, ItsJabo had to win a total of 75 awards across the base game and all downloadable content, including some notoriously difficult ones that rely mostly on luck and chance. ItsJabo’s experience as a speedrunner clearly helped them navigate the various difficulties involved and complete this admittedly impressive challenge. In addition to speedrunning Fallout 3, ItsJabo is known in the community for recently accomplishing a similar feat of getting every achievement in Fallout 4 within a single session.
“Today we’re exploring the game Fallout: New Vegas and seeing if it’s possible to get every achievement in the game in one session,” ItsJabo explained on YouTube. “New Vegas has 50 base game episodes and 25 additional ones that come with the DLC. Basically, we’re getting the Fallout: New Vegas Platinum Trophy.” The streamer went on to say that “some of the achievements are easy enough, but some of the achievements can take hours and I only have one stream to get them all.”
Fans of the Fallout series have long been asking Bethesda for another game set in the world of New Vegas, but the producer is mostly focusing its efforts on other projects, including the upcoming Starfield and The Elder Scrolls 6. ItsJabo’s achievement in Fallout: New Vegas, on the other hand, is a testament to its enduring popularity. As the game attracts new fans and inspires unique challenges, it’s becoming clear that Fallout: New Vegas will remain a popular game for years to come.
