Earlier this month, a photo of Farhan Akhtar has netizens wondering if another SRK film is on the way. Ritesh Sidhwani, a filmmaker, took to social media on Saturday to share a photo from Farhan’s study area showing the actor writing. Along with the photo, it also became known that Farhan has started work on his next screenplay. “100% concentration even when he puts pen to paper (erm…fingers on keyboard) @faroutakhtar is back in writing mode after a long hiatus. Guess what he’s working on…” the caption read.

However, this has led to speculation among netizens as to whether Farhan has started work on Don 3. Fans wish for an official announcement of Don 3 on Twitter soon. Don 3 will be the third installment in the Don franchise, which was the remake of Amitabh Bachchan’s blockbuster (1978) of the same name. The remake starring Shah Rukh Khan was released in 2006 and the remake’s blockbuster success led to its sequel Don 2 in 2011. On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will be featured in Brahmastra Part One: Shiva this year. Followed by 3 major releases in 2023, Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan, Atlee’s Jawaan and Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki.
