The NASCAR Cup Series heads to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the second Superspeedway race of the year. After dominating the Daytona 500 but failing to finish first, Fords looked great in qualifying for the Ambetter Health 400 on Saturday Harrison Burtontrading at far too long a price just to get a top 10 result.

Can Harrison Burton keep up with his teammates?
Although Harrison Burton had problems in qualifying, his teammates didn’t. Team Penske will start from first through third, suggesting Burton has more power under the hood than he showed early on. Watch for him to recover as soon as the green flag goes up – and after his team has a chance to make some adjustments to make his car work for what it worked for Austin Cinderic, Joey Logano And Ryan Blaney.
In this week’s Outright column, I touted Burton winning 100-1. That price is somehow still on the board despite the speed his teammates showed in qualifying. Although he hasn’t achieved much at these Cup Series circuits, Burton has a solid Superspeedway résumé from his lower Series days. Burton has five top 10 finishes from eight Xfinity Series starts at Superspeedways.
Burton’s most impressive superspeedway performances, second and third places at Daytona in the spring Xfinity races, suggest he should do well in Sunday’s cooler conditions. Burton has also led laps in his two Daytona 500 starts and performed well in the dueling races. Although Burton has only two top 10 finishes in the Cup Series, he deserves a much lower price than the 17-2 (10.5%) posted by FanDuel Sportsbook. Will Michael McDowell overtake Erik Jones?
Often overlooked Michael McDowell is in plus money just to finish beforehand Eric Jones. Although Jones is a capable superspeedway driver himself, the number of factors that are totally beyond a driver’s control on superspeedways makes playing head-to-head markets with even or higher odds a keen investment.
McDowell has been one of the most consistent Superspeedway drivers in years. He won the 2021 Daytona 500 and routinely rides up front with the other Ford drivers. While Eric Jones After stringing together some solid Superspeedway runs last year, including a fourth-place finish at last summer’s Atlanta race, he tends to underperform in cooler conditions. He finished 14th here last spring and has not had a top 25 finish at the Daytona 500 since 2020.
This game should have an even price, but because Caesars With the juice stacked in Jones’ favor, bettors can find some value in McDowell. The driver of the #34 Ford even starts 12th on Sunday, well ahead of Jones, who is stuck in 28th. Starting position isn’t everything on Superspeedway circuits, but McDowell should have an easier time staying out of trouble, at least on Sunday.
