Leeds have signed Bayern Munich midfielder Marc Roca on a four-year deal for an initial £10m deal.
The 25-year-old will join the club on July 1 until summer 2026. He becomes the latest signing to join the Whites early next month after deals for Rasmus Kristensen and Brenden Aaronson were announced.
The Spanish-born defensive midfielder started his career at RCD Espanyol, breaking through from youth ranks to the first team at the RCDE stadium.
He won caps for Spain at U19 and U21 level, played for the latter and helped his country win the 2019 European Football Championship.
He scored in the semi-final against France and played 90 minutes in the 2-1 final win over Germany, as did new Leeds United team-mate Junior Firpo.
At club level, Roca made his debut for Espanyol in August 2016 in a 2-2 La Liga draw against Malaga. He then established himself in the team and played a further 25 games in all competitions as the season progressed.
After impressing himself over the next three seasons and making 121 appearances for Espanyol, Roca was signed by Bayern Munich in October 2020 on a five-year deal. During his time in Germany, FC Bayern twice won the Bundesliga and the FIFA Club World Cup.
