The Kroger Co.’s Home Chef has a new line of meal sets that feature TV host, best-selling author and philanthropist Rachael Ray’s favorite recipes, the grocer said Wednesday.
The first Rachael Ray Home Chef meal set, available in stores now, takes customers through an easy-to-follow recipe created by Ray himself, the grocer said.
“Rachel RayWidely known for their quick, easy-to-prepare recipes, hit cooking shows and best-selling cookbooks, and Home Chef have teamed up to offer a range of dishes based on new Rachael recipes that are simple, convenient and delicious,” said Dan de la Rosa, Group Vice President of Fresh Merchandising, in a statement. “Personalized dining experiences don’t have to be complicated. We know customers have busy schedules and we are delighted to partner with to offer specialty meal sets that even the most inexperienced home cook can prepare Rachel Ray.”
New meal sets with she Recipes will be available in more than 1,300 Kroger Family of Companies stores each month through mid-March. The first kit, available now in stores, guides customers through an easy-to-follow recipe created by Ray for a Dijon mushroom and onion steakhouse burger. The series will include dishes like pork lo mein with carrots and bok choy, spicy sloppy joes with oven-baked fries and more.
In July, the meal set maker welcomed the brand’s new state-of-the-art manufacturing center in Douglasville, Georgia, expands the company’s presence in the Southeast.
Home Chef is the meal kit brand, operated as a subsidiary of The Kroger Co., offering direct consumer subscriptions for home delivery and a variety of cooking solutions including traditional meal kits, oven-ready dinners and ready meals. hot meals in Kroger stores.
Kroger merged with Chicago-based Home Chef in 2018 in a transaction with an initial price of $200 million, with future earnout payments of up to $500 million over five years contingent on the achievement of certain milestones, including significant growth in in-store and online meal kit sales.
