Khloé Kardashian has finally ended her relationship with Tristan Thompson in the latest episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians.
In the season one finale, which filmed in December 2021, the entire Kardashian-Jenner clan found out about the NBA star’s paternity scandal — when he admitted to having had relationships with Houston-based personal trainer Maralee Nichols. (Since the episode was filmed, Thompson has admitted that the child, a son, is actually his, though Nichols claims he was not involved in his upbringing.)
Released in court records by Daily Mail and read by Kim Kardashian on the show, Thompson — who shares daughter True Thompson with Khloé — admitted to seeing Nichols multiple times between December 2020 and March 13, 2021 while he was still in a relationship with Khloé. He also admitted sleeping with her on his 30th birthday after flying from Los Angeles — where Khloé threw him a birthday party — back to Houston, where his team, the Sacramento Kings, were based.
Kim was the first to hear about the scandal and was the one who called sisters Kourtney Kardashian and Kylie Jenner before breaking the news to Khloé.
“What? What the hell is that?” said the Good American founder, who at the time was working to reconcile with Thompson after his previous cheating scandals.
“So he lied to you. Did you know about that?” Kim asked.
Khloé replied, “No. What the hell? … That can’t happen.”
Kim explained to Khloé that the personal trainer sued Thompson, and his attorneys went on record to issue his statement, in which he admitted every detail of the affair. She said he probably never thought it would leak.
Kim said she texted Thompson but didn’t get a reply, after which Khloé asked her to send her the statement.
“I need to f*ck see the screenshot,” she said. “Let me fucking call him, I can’t fucking believe it.”
Kim then remarked, “But if not having another baby with this person isn’t the biggest sign for you…”
She added in the confession, “When someone hurts someone you love you become protective and my heart breaks for Khloé because I know she really tried and I know he really tried and then this happens and it’s like, ‘dude, what the hell?’”
Khloé was then heard sobbing in disbelief over the phone.
“Everything will be fine, no matter what. … You know, we really believed that he changed, I was his biggest supporter. But if that isn’t clearer, the clearest situation, I don’t know what is,” Kim told her before telling the cameras to stop rolling.
The episode ended with Kim and Khloé chatting before their Hulu photoshoot. There, the mother of one said she finally confronted Thompson. “I called him and I just said, ‘What do you have to say?’ It was more shouting on my side, but he was talking and trying to make his case. I don’t think there’s much to talk about,” she said.
Khloé added: “It’s a joke, it’s disgusting. It’s a joke, it’s embarrassing, it’s gross, we’re all over it. I’m like, ‘I didn’t buy tickets to this damn circus, but I kind of enjoy watching all these clowns perform in front of me.’”
Kim noted how “sad” it was that after Thompson went to therapy to try to change, he kept doing the same thing.
“I know it’s sad…like, wow, you really screwed up your life,” Khloé said.
Kim added, “If that was me and I was really trying to redeem myself and be a better person, I would definitely keep my dick in my pants.”
“You’d think so,” Khloé replied. “Either you wear a condom, do a vasectomy, or you don’t fuck random people you meet in other states. It’s not rocket science.”
Kim admitted that the hardest thing for Khloé will be losing her best friend.
“Tristan is her best friend, was her best friend, and she will miss her best friend and the thought and hope of them getting together. And it’s going to be an adjustment, especially when you have kids and you have no choice but to take the highway, even if it kills you,” she said.
Khloé said it was such a “disappointment” to learn of Thompson’s latest cheating scandal, but at the end of the day she said it gave her clarity.
There are “no more blurry lines,” she said. “Also, I feel vindicated in a way because I kept saying, ‘Guys, there’s something wrong here,’ and everyone kept saying, ‘No, it’s because you’re so damaged from before.'”
Kim agreed. “Everyone has a lesson and unfortunately it cost him his family,” she said.
“One day I will have the fairy tale I hope for,” Khloé said.
