I used to be a star… Get me out of here! Contestant Lady Colin Campbell is reportedly “in talks” to join the upcoming All-Stars series.
The hit reality show has been running for almost 20 years Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly stay at the helm almost all the time.
And to mark the milestone, the pair will be filming a special two-week series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! this summer in addition to the usual series – featuring some of fans’ favorite old faces.
But with speculation about who might enter the jungle a second time, another name has been suggested.
Celebrity and royal commentator Lady Campbell, who notoriously had a rather dramatic stint Down Under in 2015, could return.
An ITV source said: “Lady C wasn’t exactly a fan favourite. She’s not one to mince her words and has certainly got people talking.
“She was divisive and largely unpopular with her camp mates, but she made fascinating TV shows.”
The insider added to The Sun, “Producers are confident they can convince her to be a part of the All-Stars series – despite the slightly sour ending to her regular gig.”
The following month, she left the program before its completion “due to medical reasons.”
However, in a later interview, Campbell said she felt pressured into leaving the show by Tony Hadley and Duncan Bannatyne, which both denied.
Miscellaneous Rumor has it that stars are being eyed by bosses a return includes Stacey Solomon, Gillian McKeith and Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan.
Paul Burrell and Richard Madeley have also been linked to the upcoming series.
Earlier this year, the ITV spin-off was confirmed, with Ant and Dec spilling a bit of the tea on what fans can expect.
During a chat with Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning in May, Ant explained, ‘It’s a spin-off of the main show where we have ex-housemates who all got together in South Africa and are doing challenges and trials.’
But he quickly turned to his co-host and said, “Would you like me to keep talking?”
Dec reminded him, “I don’t think you should do that, I think that’s a secret!”
However, when Ant kept spreading gossip, Dec replied, “He’s gone again, he can’t stop talking!” with his colleague insisting viewers “want to know.”
Fans still have no idea who will be entering the jungle for a second spell, with things being kept strictly under wraps.
But with the series set to start filming this summer, it won’t be long before viewers find out who they’ll be seeing a little more of in their Campmate gear.
