VISALIA, Calif., November 16, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Hydrite has completed the installation of its first on-site solar panel at the company Visalia, California ease.
The 126 kW solar photovoltaic system will provide approximately 16% of the site’s annual electricity consumption, offsetting nearly 50 tonnes of CO2e emissions per year.

Hydrate’s new solar panel at its plant in Visalia, Calif., reflects the company-wide focus on improving operational efficiency and reducing resource consumption.
This sustainable energy source will continue to support the growing production demands in the region for Hydrite’s food and agricultural solutions.

The project was carried out by Kuubix Construction Group, a commercial solar engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) group based in Visalia.
One of many energy efficiency projects, Hydrite continues to closely monitor energy consumption across its manufacturing and distribution operations to identify improvement initiatives and set quantitative environmental targets. .
To maintain transparency of environmental impact, Hydrite regularly communicates its sustainability performance to customers and key stakeholders through its sustainability report and other reporting platforms.

Visalia’s The power grid already prioritizes renewables, and the new solar panel’s annual greenhouse gas emissions avoidance is estimated to be equivalent to driving more than 120,000 miles according to the Gas Equivalents Calculator at EPA greenhouse effect.
