Hailey Bieber just got a ‘Freaky Friday’ style makeover

Some may argue that within the Quentin Tarantino sits in one of the greatest cinematic moments of all time pulp fiction, Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park and possibly even Ridley Scott’s Bladerunner. However, I disagree with Mark Waters’ Crazy Friday with Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan will forever be groundbreaking in my mind. And, well, if you disagree, I (or Ms. Lee Curtis for that matter) have one thing to say: “Can you relax for a second?”.

Now fulfilling my fantasy of keeping alive the 2003 classic, Rhode’s newly introduced skincare founder, Hailey Bieber. Can I get a whoop whoop? In her latest YouTube video, “Beauty Tips & Tricks,” the social media sensation swaps beauty routines with celebrity hairstylist Jen Atkin. As Hails says, it’s “Freaky Friday Beauty Style”… minus the Tomb Keeper look… IYKYK.

The model begins by showing Jen her signature “Flick of the Wrist Style Wave.” But before going in with any heated hair tools, she preps the hair by adding a few spritzes of OUAI Heat Protect Spray, £25, which is Jen’s own haircare brand.

Then Hailey goes ‘section by section’, tossing hair in an S-shaped pattern using the Dyson Corrale Cordless Straightener, £399.99.

Giving us plenty of tips and tricks, Jen says the best way to avoid dents when straightening your hair is to not squeeze too hard and keep your wrist loose, “almost like playing tennis.” Just channel your inner Serena Williams.

Additionally, if you’re building up the hair with a texturizing or finishing spray, Jen recommends flipping your head upside down and gently backcombing it to add volume.

After the hair is done, the two move on to skincare and Jen performs her routine on Hailey. Unfortunately for us Brits, Rhode skincare (the brand owned by Hailey’s and most of the products that will be used from now on) isn’t available in the UK yet, but I have my fingers crossed (and toes!) that it will be available here soon comes.

After adding layers of moisture to the skin, Jen explains that she enjoys using facial massagers, which are good for blood circulation and collagen production. The two mentioned are the Shani Darden Facial Sculpting Wand, £364 and the NuFACE Trinity Wrinkle Reducer, £121.60.

“Red light is good for inflammation, anti-aging, and acne,” says Hailey.

Next (we’re almost done, I promise) is the Summer Fridays Heavenly Sixteen All-in-One Face Oil, £53, which Hails says it is loves for her classic glazed donut look.

Finally, after dousing her lips with balm before bed, Jen likes to use the Kylie Skin Clarifying Patches, £16, which, as Hailey puts it, ‘sucks it all out’. Oh, and by all she means all the good that a pimple exudes. Kind.
