In all, the United States has won the event nine times, including eight of the last nine tournaments.
This year’s Team USA consists of three female players – Giavara, Connie Ma of Stanford and Fiona Crawley of North Carolina – and three male players – Stefan Dostanic of USC, Patrick Maloney of Michigan and Ryan Seggerman of A C. Augustus joins a coaching staff that includes former Boise State men’s head coach Greg Patton and former UC Santa Barbara assistant coach Garrett Patton.
Australia, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States will compete for the 2022 trophy.
