The FSG agrees on a deal worth millions to sell one of their teams
Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group have agreed a deal to sell one of the sports teams in their portfolio.
The Boston-based ownership group, which includes the Reds, baseball team Boston Red Sox, the Pittsburgh Penguins ice hockey franchise and NASCAR team RFK Racing, among others, has reached an agreement to sell the Salem Red Sox, a minor league -daughter of her MLB team in Boston, according to the Boston Globe.
The Salem team, a Class A affiliate competing in the Carolina League, is scheduled to be acquired by Diamond Baseball Holdings, which has been under FSG control since 2007. Salem will remain a connected team of the Boston Red Sox despite new ownership.

“For 16 years, Allen (Lawrence, General Manager of Salem) and the entire team at Salem have been incredible partners who have made the entry point into the Red Sox minor league system a welcoming and standard-setting entry point for our culture,” said Red Sox President and one of FSG’s oldest partners, Sam Kennedy, said in a press release.
“Our connection with Allen and the entire player development team at Salem will remain intact, and I know that with DBH leaders like Pat Battle and Peter Freund at the helm, the organization is in good hands.
“What they are doing to improve the minor leagues through investment and technology will greatly benefit Salem and I have no doubt they will continue to build on what was built in Salem under Allen’s competent guidance.”

Mohamed Salah agent opens up on Liverpool exit rumors
Mohamed Salah’s agent has spilled rumors suggesting the striker wants to leave Liverpool.
Salah is under contract with the Reds until the summer of 2025 after being penned on new terms last summer. That deal ended speculation about the Egyptian’s future with rumors he could have left Anfield.
A report out on Saturday foot Mercato claimed that Salah is “increasingly considering” a move from Liverpool. It was also hinted that Salah would favor a transfer to Spain but didn’t specify which club.
The story was posted on Twitter by author Santi Aouna, which prompted a response from Salah’s representative. Ramy Abbas Issa, Salah’s agent, issued a brief response to the report.
He wrote: “Where did you get that if not even Mohamed and I talked about it? Please tell us.”
