The PS Plus Essential Games series for August 2023 has not yet been announced by Sony. We give you an overview of any leaks, speculation and finally which games will be available for PlayStation Plus members in August 2023, when they will be released and what their download size is.

Each month, Sony offers free games to PlayStation Plus subscribers. You can choose from a selection of three PS4 and PS5 games to download and play as long as you have a subscription. Usually the titles are a good mix of AAA titles and indie games, so there is something for everyone.
The games are available to every subscriber, regardless of their level in the PS Plus system.

Free essential games for PS Plus in August 2023: leaks and speculation
There are currently no leaks for August 2023 games. We’ll keep you updated once the squad has been announced by any means.
Until then, here are our tips for the free games in August:
FIFA 23

If not now, then never: FIFA 23 must appear on PS Plus in August. EA’s football simulation is released every year on Sony’s subscription service and has recently also been included in Game Pass. As such, we think it’s a pretty safe bet for August’s lineup.
Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla

There’s been a lot of Assassin’s Creed news lately, so this would be a great time to give everyone a taste of what’s to come by releasing one of the games on PS Plus. In addition, due to the different locations in the games, it can definitely serve as a holiday substitute.
Season: A Letter to the Future

How about a nice bike tour with chilled music and a relaxed atmosphere? That’s what Season delivers. The game fits perfectly with PlayStation’s previous indie picks and definitely deserves a spot on PS Plus Free Games in my opinion.
When can you download the PS Plus August Essential games?
The new PS Plus games will be available to download from the PS Store from early August, for both PS4 and PS5. Just go to the PS Plus section or any individual game and get them for free.
