Bollywood celebrities took to social media platforms on Sunday to share posts celebrating Father’s Day. Anushka Sharma, Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt and many others shared pictures. Actor Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter, Shweta Bachchan, shared a picture with her father on Instagram. In her contribution, she quoted an iconic dialogue from his film Shahenshah. Shweta captioned her selfie: “Rishtey mein toh sirf mere lagte hai (He’s all mine). Anushka Sharma also shared a picture of her father on her Instagram stories. In the photo, her father Ajay Kumar Sharma appears to be engrossed in his cellphone. The picture appears to have been taken at Anushka’s home in Mumbai; he is sitting next to a huge teddy bear, which most likely belongs to the actor’s daughter Vamika. To celebrate the special day, the actor shared the picture with a red heart emoji.
Actor Ajay Devgn shared an unseen picture with his son Yug Devgn from a movie set. Of growing up with his late father, filmmaker Veeru Devgn, he wrote: “It’s moments like this that take me back to when dad was still behind the camera and I peered curiously off to the side. I’ve tried to capture his love of filmmaking as much as possible.” An hour later, he tweeted, “Happy Father’s Day to Shomuji (Kajol’s father). I celebrate your birthday today with a special thought and prayer. Your presence will be missed every day.”
Meanwhile, actor Sanjay Dutt has been sharing pictures with his children Trishala, Iqra and Shahraan on social media. He also wrote a heartfelt note remembering his late father, Sunil Dutt: “Love you Dad! Thank you for every little attention you have given to me, to us… to our family! You will always be my great source of strength, pride and inspiration. I was blessed and lucky to have been your son because you were the best role model I could ask for! I hope and pray to be as good a parent as you have been. #HappyFathersDay to mine and all the dads out there.”
Madhuri Dixit shared a picture with husband Shriram Nene and their sons Arin and Ryan. She wrote: “A father is a strong shield protecting his children. No matter what, he will always go to great lengths to protect them, but also teach them the lessons no one else can. Happy Father’s Day to the best dad in the world! Our boys are slowly growing into the young gentlemen we always envisioned.”
