The Jurassic dinosaur saga returns to the big screen in Jurassic World: Dominion, the sixth and final installment in a hit sci-fi franchise that began in 1993 with Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park trilogy. His films to date include Jurassic Park: The Lost World (1997), Jurassic Park III (2001), Jurassic World (2015) and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018).
Dominion fuses the two trilogies and brings back Jurassic World stars Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, as well as Jurassic Park stars Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum – all reprising their iconic roles in a world where of humans and dinosaurs live side by side and walk side by side day after day.
But do you know who is believed to be the real father of the dino beasts, who are either friend or foe of mankind? Well, if not, it’s time for you to head to a theater near you and find out. You’ll also see the new Gigantosaurus, the largest animal ever seen on the big screen.

“Top Gun: Maverick” – Tom Cruise, Jennifer Connelly, Miles Teller; directed by Joseph Kosinsky
Thirty-six years in the making, the long-awaited Maverick finally takes off, roaring and roaring with 1980s nostalgia that’s sure to take the breath away of Gen Xers – as well as die-hard Tom Cruise fans.
Experience supersonic visceral thrills as the megastar reprises his role as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell, a top aviator who’s still fearless and defiant after more than three decades of defying the limits of gravity – and the chain of command – has exceeded.
This time, however, he encounters unexpected turbulence when he meets Rooster (Miles Teller), a young flyboy with a score to settle caused by the death of his father, Maverick’s late wingman Goose.

“The Judge” – Robert Downey Jr., Robert Duvall, Vera Farmiga; directed by David Dobkin
A powerful crime drama, The Judge explores the complexities of a father-son relationship through the prism of courtroom and family drama, anchored by the excellence of Robert Downey Jr. and Robert Duvall.
Meet Hank Palmer (Downey), a successful attorney who has earned a reputation for being the most seedy brilliant attorney in Chicago. Ironically, his father (Duvall) is a respected city judge.
After learning of his mother’s death, Palmer returns to his childhood hometown, sparking a long-simmering tension between him and his father. Then the judge is arrested for a fatal hit-and-run accident. Despite the old man’s objections, Palmer will represent him in court. Can they finally settle their differences?

“Father of the Bride” – Spencer Tracy, Joan Bennett, Elizabeth Taylor; Directed by Vincente Minnelli
Nominated for Best Picture at the Academy Awards in 1951, Vincente Minnelli’s romantic comedy tells the story of a smitten father, Stanley (Spencer Tracy), who struggles to accept that his daughter Kay (Elizabeth Taylor) is grown and now a child wife is engaged. His concerns about the wedding become clearer when he meets the groom’s parents. But eventually reality sets in and Stanley must accept the inevitable. Over the years, the original film spawned a television series in 1961 and a film remake of the same name in 1995 and 2022.

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” – Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista; directed by James Gunn
Remember the unlikely cast of colorful space villains from the first Guardians of the Galaxy – Peter Quill/Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Drax (Dave Bautista), Rocket Raccoon (voiced by Bradley Cooper) and Groot (Voice of Vin Diesel)? Well, they returned for the sequel — after the 2014 megahit grossed a whopping $772 million worldwide.
In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the motley crew is now a team of galaxy protectors called the Guardians. While the first film introduced moviegoers to the physical dimensions of different characters, the second film takes a closer look at their emotional connections, including Star-Lord’s dad issues.

“Mrs. Doubtfire” – Robin Williams, Sally Field, Pierce Brosnan; directed by Chris Columbus

Liam Neeson stars as Bryan Mills, a former CIA agent who uses all the willpower he can muster to travel halfway across the world to rescue his estranged daughter, who was kidnapped while traveling in France. The 2008 action thriller – which, along with his famous “I’ll find you” line, made Neeson a bona fide action star. — spawned a trilogy over the years: Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2016).

“Father” – Jack Lemmon, Ted Danson, Olympia Dukakis; Directed by Gary David Goldberg
Based on the William Wharton bestseller, Gary David Goldberg’s 1989 film adaptation is about the uniqueness of a father-son relationship. Ted Danson plays a businessman who takes a break from his busy world to take care of his elderly father when his mother suffers a heart attack. Tragedy strikes at the end; However, Ted learns of the special bond he shares with his father that is truly unyielding, powerful, and everlasting.

“Finding Nemo” – Albert Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres; Directed by Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich
One of the loveliest animated films of all time, Finding Nemo is both viscerally and visually mesmerizing. Set on the Great Barrier Reef, the film tells the story of Marlin (voiced by Albert Brooks), an overprotective clownfish who goes in search of his kidnapped son, Nemo. Aided by Dory (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres), a forgetful Blue Tang fish, Marlin’s quest will take him all the way to Sydney.

The final chapter in the classic Indiana Jones trilogy follows Harrison Ford’s legendary archaeologist as he navigates the cradle of civilization in search of the Holy Grail. The joyful, uplifting and visually compelling film about the importance of family will bring a smile to everyone’s face and tears to their eyes. The endearing animated story follows the story of Miguel (voiced by Anthony Gonzalez) who aspires to become a famous musician despite his family’s mysterious music ban. On his quest for fame and fortune, he crosses paths with a very skilled con man (Gael Garcia Bernal). Together they embark on a magical journey through the land of the dead to receive the blessing of Miguel’s great-great-grandfather.

Looking for a crime thriller about the special bond between a father and son? The 1973 Academy Award winner for best picture is sure to stun as he documents a young man’s rise to power as the don, or “godfather,” of a mafia family. Set in 1940s New York, the crime film follows Michael Corleone (one of Al Pacino’s earliest roles) who eventually takes over the reins of the Corleone Mafia family after the death of his father, Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando). As the new Don, he takes the Corleone empire to new heights while raining terror on the criminal world.

“The Impossible” – Naomi Watts, Ewan McGregor; directed by JA Bayona
Based on a true survival story, The Impossible is a moving tribute to the determination and bravery of an amazing father and his tourist family. Meet the Bennett clan – Henry (Ewan McGregor), his wife Maria (Naomi Watts) and their three boys Lucas (Tom Holland), Thomas (Samuel Joslin) and Simon (Oaklee Pendergast) – enjoying their Christmas break in a coastal town in near Khao Lak, Thailand, in 2004. Suddenly, a massive 100-foot-tall tsunami swept through the area, wreaking havoc. Barely alive, Maria emerges from the devastation and eventually finds Lucas. Meanwhile, Henry, Thomas and Simon are nowhere to be seen. Will the whole family of five ever be reunited?
