It heralds the 21st Tribeca Festival and kicks off the annual New York event with an intimate behind-the-scenes look at the singer-actress, filmed during the turbulent year that saw her turn 50, co-headline the Super Bowl and close missed an Oscar nomination.
The star-studded musical premiere at the United Palace in Washington Heights serves as a fitting prelude to the Tribeca Festival, which dropped “film” from its name to reflect the wide array of concerts, talks, television premieres, podcasts and more virtual reality Exhibits that, in addition to films, are increasingly filling the busy schedule for live events. This year’s festival will feature many big names from Al Sharpton to Taylor Swift. ”
“Actress Julia Garner, best known for her breakout roles in Ozark and Inventing Anna, has been reportedly offered the role of Madonna in an upcoming biopic about the pop icon. Garner emerged as the favorite from over a dozen candidates for the role, which will be directed by Madonna herself, Variety reported, citing an insider.
Garner’s team is considering the offer and expects to accept it. The biopic is being produced at Universal and follows the beginnings of Madonna’s eventful life. Universal Filmed Entertainment Group President Donna Langley won the script in a multi-studio bidding war, and Amy Pascal is on board as a producer. Other actors contending for the role include Florence Pugh, Alexa Demie and Odessa Young.”
Meanwhile, Chris Hemsworth’s superhero will have a “pretty reunion” with Natalie Portman’s goddess of thunder in Marvel’s upcoming film Thor: Love and Thunder. To remind fans that the movie is exactly a month away from release, the creators have shared a teaser of new footage from the action movie.
We know that Thor: Love and Thunder takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame, when Thor left with the Guardians of the Galaxy. The teaser shows Thor, Valkyrie, Star-Lord, Nebula, Mantis, Drax and Rocket battling Christian Bales Gorr’s army. Rocket seems quite disappointed thinking “this would be a relaxing vacation” instead they got caught up in a war-like situation. Thor: Love and Thunder is out July 7th in India.”
In other news, the first trailer for DC’s Black Adam, starring Dwayne Johnson, is out. And it’s safe to say that this looks like an exciting origin story for the iconic character.
The video features a strange and beguiling blend of the modern and ancient worlds, with Pierce Brosnan starring as Doctor Fate. As the clip begins, we see Dwayne’s character undergoing some sort of transformation until he wakes up and tells his own dark story as a slave. Devoted Black Adam fans had nothing but positive comments in the trailer’s comments section.
Directed by Jaume Collet-Serra, Black Adam is set for release on October 21.”
“Then Dhanush will soon be making waves in Hollywood with the Russo Brothers film The Gray Man.
First released in theaters and later on Netflix, the action film boasts a star cast including actors such as Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Rege-Jean Page, Billy Bob Thorton and Dhanush. In a recent panel for Netflix’s Geeked Week, directors Joe Russo and Anthony Russo sat down to talk about their upcoming film, The Gray Man. Even as they praised their leading actors Gosling and Evans, the Russo Brothers didn’t forget to hype up Dhanush in their interview.
The Gray Man will have a limited theatrical release on July 15, followed by a Netflix premiere on July 22.”

Within a week of the Fairfax jury ruling on his defamation case against the actor and his ex-wife Amber Heard, Johnny Depp has joined TikTok and amassed around four million followers.
His first post on TikTok is about “going forward”. The post read: “To all my most valued, loyal and unwavering supporters. We’ve been everywhere together, we’ve seen everything together. We walked the same path together. We did the right thing together, all because you cared. Now we will all move forward together. “We end this bulletin with news of the ongoing Bill Cosby trial. Bill Cosby denies sexually abusing a young girl at the Playboy Mansion in the mid-1970s. When asked by an attorney for Judy Huth, who is suing Cosby, if he tried to put his hand down Huth’s pants, Cosby quickly and clearly replies, “No.” Similarly, when asked if he exposed himself and forced her to touch him sexually, Cosby replies “no.”
When asked if it was possible these things happened but Cosby couldn’t remember, Cosby replied “no”.
Bill Cosby, 85, will not attend the hearing because of glaucoma that has left him blind, his representatives said. ”
