EPL broadcast messages; Cristiano Ronaldo Future At Manchester United, Tino Vermer Chelsea News Updates

Cristiano Ronaldo could be headed for an ugly exit from Manchester United after the striker made a sensational departure from Old Trafford during a pre-season game last weekend.

Ronaldo was playing his first pre-season game after missing the tour of Thailand and Australia, storming out of the stadium with 10 minutes left after being substituted at half-time.

The Portugal international was visibly frustrated with manager Erik ten Hag early in the game, while his agent Jorge Mendes reportedly continues to push for a transfer.

Meanwhile, Chelsea striker Timo Werner could make an incredible move to a bitter London rival as two Premier League clubs compete for his services.

Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva is also close to a massive transfer to a Spanish powerhouse, but the deal is dependent on the sale of another star.

Here’s the latest transfer gossip in the latest installment of the rumor mill!

RONALDO LEAVING OLD TRAFFORD

Ronaldo donned Manchester United’s iconic red jersey for the first time in 12 weeks in the club’s 1-1 draw with Rayo Vallecano on Monday (AEST).

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner played 45 minutes on his much-anticipated return and later said he was ‘happy to be back’.

But manager ten Hag is reportedly disappointed in the 37-year-old after he left Old Trafford before the final whistle.

British media company The sun have shared images of Ronaldo shrugging and covering his face in frustration as his new manager tries to approach him during a water break.

After being substituted at half-time, Ronaldo left the stadium ten minutes from time. Photos show the soccer superstar walking towards some, if not angry, fans who are waiting for him.

“It doesn’t look good to leave early when you’ve been part of the squad,” a Manchester United insider told SunSport.

“It’s different when you’re up in the stands and not involved.

“You would expect someone who played the game to end up standing in the dressing room listening to the manager’s thoughts.

“Also, a lot of people were there to see him and he wasn’t even involved in the clapping of the fans after the final whistle.”

Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes is still hoping for a transfer for his angry client.

CHELSEA STRIKER COULD SWAP LONDON BLUE FOR RED

Timo Werner could fill for one of Chelsea’s closest rivals this season, with The Blues reportedly ready to part ways with the Germany international this transfer window.

The 26-year-old, who joined Chelsea for $83m (AEDT) in 2020, has not reached the level expected of him when he signed at Stamford Bridge after scoring just 10 Premier League goals in 56 games had scored.

But Werner could be handed a lifeline in the Premier League at London rivals Arsenal, who are keen to enlist his services.

Mikel Arteta has already welcomed ex-Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus in this transfer window as they continue to ramp up their attack.

Newcastle United are also interested in loaning Werner out but his hefty wages are a potential issue in relation to the deal.

The sunhave also said that European powerhouses Juventus and Real Madrid are also interested in Werner.

SILVA BEFORE THE BARCA DEAL

Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva is on the verge of a big deal with Barcelona as the Spanish giants continue to build on their former glory.

But Silva can only make the move if Barcelona’s Frenkie de Jong agrees to leave the club.

De Jong has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United during this transfer window, although he seems adamant about staying at the Camp Nou.

Barcelona coach Xavi has revealed he doesn’t know if De Jong will stay at the club or not.

“I don’t know if he will stay here,” said Xavi.

“I never texted Frenkie. There is still time and a lot can still happen.

“The fact that he played as a central defender in the other games was not a sign that he was leaving.”

FIRMINO REMAINS IN LIVERPOOL

Football insider Fabrizio Romano has shared some crucial transfer news with Liverpool fans as a Champions League winner confirms his intentions to remain at the club.

Striker Roberto Firmino has said he loves “this team, this city and these fans” amid speculation about his future with the Reds.

“I love this team, the city and the fans,” Firmino told TNT Brazil.

“I’m here in Liverpool and I want to stay.”

DEFENDERS TO JOIN THE BLUES

Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella has been heavily linked with a move to English champions Manchester City but a deal with Chelsea seems more likely.

Cucurella may sport a darker shade of blue this season as the London club open talks with the defender.

City have refused to increase their bid, which has seen them drop out of the race for his signature – for now.
