Taking a nice, quiet nap is a luxury most parents don’t get to enjoy — at least not when their kids are little. Even celebrity parents struggle to get a few minutes of quiet time during the day, as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson recently demonstrated in a super relatable new video.
“Many of you know my pain 😂🕷❤️”, the Black Adam star wrote on Instagram on Thursday. He explained that his efforts to nap were thwarted by his daughter Tiana “Tia” Gia, 4, whom he shares with wife Lauren Hashian. “I tried to take a quick nap, but my littlest loving tornado came back every two minutes to ask me honestly, ‘Dad, how are you sleeping?’ Children have a secret sense that alerts them when their parents are asleep ? Because that’s so understandable.

“After saying for the seventh time, ‘Daddy is sleeping great baby thanks for checking in on me,'” continued The Rock, who also shares Jasmine, 6, with Hashian and Simone, 20, with ex Dany Garcia . “She says I know what you need… She holds the dog’s toy to my mouth and then serenades me with Itsy Bitsy Spider who seems to love stomping on dad’s face 🤣🙋🏽♂️”

The accompanying video shows Tia singing “Itsy Bitsy Spider” and making her hands into a spider that crawls on The Rock’s face. He just looks at her and smiles as she does so. In the video, he says, “Ah, thanks, honey. I love it when the Itsy Bitsy Spider shows up.” After she’s finished singing, she takes the dog toy and shoves it right in his face. The Rock is patient through everything!
“Then the walk-off mic drop 🎤👇🏾 of ‘Good night papa, I love you’ 👏🏾👍🏾 hits me,” he wrote, which she can be heard saying in the video. He just smiles and says, “I love you too.” Then he adds, “I think it’s time for itsy bitsy spider to retire.” Why are kids so annoying and then so cute right after? It will definitely keep the parents on their toes!
“We act annoyed but secretly we daddies never want this stuff to end 😉,” added The Rock. “The hell with that, I’ll sleep next year 💀😂 #gluttonforpunishment #bringiton.🌪🕷❤️”
He seems to put up with the lack of sleep, which is the only thing you can do. This man deserves a Father’s Day nap!
