Now she’s a teenager, he and Wally don’t always see eye to eye, but their bond is unbreakable. When Max learns he has a terminal illness, he decides to put all the love and support he’s given Wally over the years into what little time he has left.
And first up is a road trip from California to New Orleans for his 20th college reunion. Wally can’t imagine anything worse than spending the summer in the car with her annoying dad, but Max convinces her with the promise of long-awaited driving lessons. However, Wally has no idea that Max plans to reunite her with her estranged mother.

John Cho plays the protective but goofy single father Max Do not let me go. He is probably best known for his role as Sulu in the reboot star trek movies. He also had roles in American Pie: The Marriage, Grey’s Anatomy, Kitchen Confidential and Ugly Betty. More recently, he starred in the television series The Exorcist, difficult people and Cowboy Bebop.
Mia Isaac as Wally
Relative newcomer Mia Isaac plays Max’s teenage daughter, who finds her father endearing and irritating in equal measure. She appeared in the TV movie Love Struck and starring in the upcoming movie Not okay with Zoey Deutch.
