Sivakarthikeyan, who is currently delighted with the success of his latest Tamil film Don, has taken no time to bask in his fame. In fact, he went straight back to work on his next Tamil film, tentatively titled SK20, much of which was already completed prior to Don’s release. And now with Sivakarthikeyan have resumed SK20 immediately after Put on Hit cinemas, it is said that about 90% of the film has been shot. Well, that’s a certain work ethic, isn’t it? Also, a great SK20 finally has a title – prince – and the First Look Poster has also appeared, which should certainly please Sivakarthikeyan fans no end.

Sivakarthikeyan’s SK20 release date and clash with Viruman
A statement released by the creators of SK20 read: “The entire SK20 team congratulates our hero Mr. Sivakarthikeyan on the blockbuster success of Don. We would like to announce that SK 20 starring Sivakarthikeyan, Maria, Sathyaraj and others, directed by Anudeep KV, with music by S. Thaman, will be released in theaters on August 31, 2022 to coincide with Vinayaga Chathurthi. It is published simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu worldwide. The film is intended to be an entertaining family entertainer. First Look and more updates coming soon.” What this does, however, is set up SK20 for potential box office Clash with Karthi Starr Viruman since this film is also aiming for the same release date. And while Sivakarthikeyan is currently enjoying a dream run at the box office with four clean hits in a row, Karthi’s fan base is also underappreciated as is his talent for picking great scripts.

Prince aka SK20 sees Ukrainian model Maria Riaboshapka as the female lead alongside Sivakarthikeyan. It is assembled as bilingual Tamil and Telugu and is directed by Anudeep KVwho caused a sensation with last year’s critically acclaimed film Telugu hit sleeper, Jathi Ratnalu. Before SK20, Sivakarthikeyan also has the science fiction movie, Ayalaanuntil release.
