Dakota Johnson has some very famous neighbors including Jimmy Kimmel
During her appearance on The Ellen Show, we quickly learned that messing with Dakota Johnson wasn’t the best idea… No matter who you are, the actress won’t be afraid to challenge you. That included Ellen, who snubbed Dakota’s birthday party while trying to play innocent.
Let’s look back: “Actually no. That’s not the truth, Ellen. You were invited,” Johnson said. “When I was on the show last year you gave me a bunch of shit for not inviting you, but I didn’t even know you wanted to be invited. I didn’t know you liked me!”
Back in her home life, Dakota faced another uncomfortable experience. She lives alongside A-listers, which include Jimmy Kimmel. Now, Kimmel wasn’t the one to call the police about her and the name wouldn’t be released. Some have speculated that John Krasinski and Emily Blunt live in the area, although they may not be neighbors. Others suspected an older and wealthy family. However, as she explained alongside Jimmy Kimmel, Johnson wasn’t too happy about her sentimental car being towed.
Dakota Johnson’s ’95 Ford F-150, a gift from her grandfather, was towed from outside her own home
Hosted by Will Ferrell, both Dakota Johnson and Jimmy Kimmel attended the charity event, which also featured some of the best comics from across Hollywood. Everything was going great until Dakota was greeted by her other neighbor. Without hesitation, the actress asked if this person was responsible for having her late grandfather’s car towed away… something that was given to her after his death.
As might be expected, it immediately became awkward. Kimmel admitted that according to the neighbors’ reaction, he definitely was. Johnson was particularly upset about the reason her neighbor decided to call a tow truck: “They kept calling about it and saying, ‘I really don’t want to look at it anymore.’ And I said, ‘Well, look elsewhere. You don’t have to stare at it all day.’ “
Kimmel defended Johnson, explaining that the truck was in front of his house earlier than anyone else on the block: “The truck was in front of both our houses, and I had no problem with that.” Kimmel explained during her interview.
Ultimately, fans applauded Johnson’s approach to the situation.
Fans loved Dakota Johnson’s response to calling out her neighbors
Interview moment has over 4 million views youtube. Not only did fans enjoy the story, but they also loved Dakota’s reaction to it.
“She is very sensitive about the gift from her grandparents. It shows the values and respect of her family,” said one fan.
“I’ll send them a cake… from my truck lol the shadow is real,” commented another fan, appreciating the sarcasm.
“Then look elsewhere” HAHAHAHAHAHA STANNING THIS WOMAN FOREVER.”
“The way she paused before delivering the punchline is pure GOLD! @3:33 They thought she would somehow apologize for being confrontational by sending a cake and then doubling down to make them feel guilty in a cute passive-aggressive way. “
“That was… bloody awesome. The best way to get people to respect you with a humorous twist. Coming from someone who only knows her name associated with those Gray movies, coming from a Wired video where she was spoken so softly that made me curious about her personality.”
At least the story has a happy ending for Johnson as she made it home just in time before the truck was towed.
