
The Coachella Valley Firebirds will begin their journey to a return to the American Hockey League’s Calder Cup championship with three home games in October, including a previously announced home opener on Oct. 13 against Bakersfield.
The Firebirds, defending Western Conference champions in their first AHL season, will also host the Ontario Reign on October 25 and the Abbotsford Canucks on October 31 at Palm Desert’s Acrisure Arena.
The Firebirds’ longest homestand of the season begins Jan. 31 with the first of back-to-back games against Calgary. The home stand includes seven games from January 31 to February 18. Overall, the Firebirds will play 36 home games in the 2023-24 season, the last being on April 21 against the San Diego Gulls.
The team has two four-game road trips, one from January 20-27 and another from March 1-8 with games against Bakersfield, San Jose and two games against San Diego.

The schedule includes games against all nine other Pacific Division teams and only four games outside of the division, two at home against Texas and two away against Texas.
