It’s bigger, it’s better and the brew is hot!
And no, just like Twinkle Khanna, we’re not talking about her husband and actor Akshay Kumar’s vital stats, we’re just talking about the new season of Koffee With Karan, which begins July 7 on Disney + Hotstar.
Well, Twinkles wasn’t the only cheeky comment that set the Koffee House on fire and stunned fans. Over the past six seasons of Koffee With Karan, many celebrities have made some controversial comments about the industry’s most popular and epic show.
While some comments made obvious headlines, some landed the celebs in a soup and some were so derogatory in nature that it pissed off the celebrity’s equation with the “super-likeable” Karan.
Ahead of KWK Season 7, here are 5 celebrities we’d love to see back on the show for their sheer sass and outspokenness.

Twinkle Khanna for being the OG Mrs. Funny Bones
Twinkle Khanna is called Mrs. Funny Bones for a reason. Keeping up with her sass, she made a bold statement on Season 5 of Koffee With Karan. Karan had asked his childhood best friend, Twinkle, “What does Akshay have that the Khans don’t?” To which she quipped, pointing at Akshay’s crotch, “Some extra inches,” and later, seeing Karan’s reaction, she said : “I meant his feet.”
Kangana Ranaut for taking on the host himself
Ranaut appeared on KWK in season five and that’s where the whole debate about nepotism started. When Karan asked Kangana who showed her “unnecessary attitude” in the industry, Kangana called out KJo and said, “I think you, Karan. If I ever get my biopic, you’ll play this snooty Bollywood biggie who’s very intolerant of outsiders.” She even called him the “standard bearer of nepotism” and a “movie mafia”.
We know things got really ugly between Kangana and Karan after that infamous episode, but we’d love to see our Queen reclaim her throne and sip some coffee while she spills some tea for us.
Hardik Pandya for everyone deserves a second chance
Hardik Pandya had appeared on the show with fellow cricketer and friend KL Rahul. He made a few sexist remarks that invited brutal criticism, so much so that he had to issue a public apology and the episode had to be removed.
In one of the segments, Hardik got too carried away with dating multiple women and bragging about it. When Karan asked, “Why didn’t you ask women their names in a club?” I’m short on the black side so I gotta see them move.”
Pandya even pointed out that his family is so cool that when he lost his virginity, he came home and announced it. “Main Karke aaya hai aaj.” Hardik continued: “At a party, my parents asked me acha tera wala (wife) kaun sa hai? I said yeh, yeh, yeh (pointing out women) and they were insanely proud of you, Beta.”
But we believe everyone deserves a second chance, and we’d love to have Hardik back on the show to redeem himself.
Rakhi Sawant for the love of “Jesus”
Rakhi Sawant is anything but dull and boring. Known for her cheekiness and no-nonsense attitude, Rakhi had made some iconic remarks in the second season of Koffee With Karan.
When our beloved host asked Rakhi about her plastic surgery, she gave an epic response, saying: “Kehte hai jo cheezein God nahi deta, woh doctor detein hain!” And then when asked if she could change any of her body parts, she grinned and spilled an endearing sarcasm. “Main kuchh nahi badalna chahungi… kyunki main badal chuki hoon!” KJo couldn’t hold back his laughter throughout the episode and that’s exactly why we need to have Rakhi Sawant back on the show.
Emraan Hashmi for his unabashed candor
Emraan Hashmi appeared on the coffee couch in Season 4 and made some bold statements. During the controversial rapid-fire round, Karan asked Emraan to tell the first thing that comes to mind when he takes a certain actress’ name. And for Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Emraan said “plastic”. Next he told Shraddha Kapoor that she should probably eat something.
Well, that’s an open cheek that we’d love to see return in Season 7 of Koffee With Karan.
