Celebrity Gogglebox star Rylan Clark has claimed he’s “always nervous” when filming for Celebrity Gogglebox with his outspoken mum Linda as he can never guess what she’s going to say. Rylan, 33, who rose to fame after appearing on The X Factor in 2012, has confessed filming with his mum makes him nervous even though his celebrity Gogglebox role is “the easiest job in the world”.
Speaking to The Sun, the This Morning presenter said: “I can literally sit there and do anything and she just makes it, which is great. She has no idea she’s even doing it.
“That’s what makes it work with her, that’s why people love her. I always think, ‘what the hell is going to come out of her mouth?’”

The mother-son duo took a break from the Channel 4 show because Linda was suffering from Crohn’s disease. After taking some time out, the pair have returned to our screens to make us laugh with their hilarious quips while watching TV of the week.
In a recent Instagram update, Rylan shared a photo of the cameras at his posh Essex home, telling his followers he loves being a part of Celebrity Gogglebox so much he forgets he’s even being filmed. The former Big Brother star tends to keep his family out of the spotlight but has said mum Linda is “comfortable” when they film for the show in his kitchen and has thanked the production team for always making it was patient when the couple dealt with personal problems.

Celebrity Gogglebox fans were very excited when Linda and Rylan returned to our screens for the new series of the Channel 4 show last week on June 10th. The duo was one of the most popular pairings on the show, and despite a few hiatus, fan love for them certainly hasn’t faded.
Rylan has previously spoken about his close relationship with his mother. Despite their closeness and the pair not usually keeping secrets from each other, Rylan has admitted he’s kept his sexuality a secret from his mother for some time.
In a 2019 Sunday Times column, the star wrote: “My mother, Linda, is my biggest headache but I don’t know what I would do without her. I didn’t always like being open about things with her. Not because she wouldn’t hear – that was my fight. She’s not the best advisor, but you can tell her anything.
“I’ve never spoken to her about my relationships or my sexuality, but she wouldn’t have a problem with that.
