Celebrities come to Bristol including Elton John, Paolo Nutini and Busta Rhymes

Summer has begun and Bristol’s best events are in full swing. The excitement that so many missed has certainly returned.

And a huge number of events coming back with a bang means some of the biggest celebrities are in the lineups. Stars from all over the world will come to town to perform.

From Pride and Bristol Comedy Garden to Bristol Sounds’ six-day events, the city is poised to put on brilliant performances – and if you’re lucky, you may bump into some of these big names during your stay in Bristol. We caught David Tennant and Catherine Tate earlier this week when they performed for Dr. Who have rotated.

Even if you don’t attend these shows, the acts might be out and about in Bristol to sightsee or enjoy a meal – here are some of the other stars to catch this summer:

Bristol Comedy Garden brings some of the funniest people to Bristol for a weekend of laughs and fun right now. Some of the best comedians including Netflix star James Acaster, Qi’s Alan Davies, This Way Up’s Aisling Bea and Mash Report’s Nish Kumar are among the most hilarious cast you can find in Bristol.

Elton-John The A-lister is said to be in “perfect health” ahead of his concerts at Ashton Gate Stadium this week. The music legend will perform on Wednesday (June 22nd) and Sunday June 26th.

Bristol sounds brings big stars to Bristol for an impressive six days, including Paolo Nutini, who can look forward to a sold-out show. The popular open-air concert series returns this June with an eclectic lineup of must-see artists, including headlining Noel Gallagher’s High-Flying Birds on Wednesday, June 22.

British electronic duo Jungle will provide a dynamic dancefloor set on Saturday 25th and First Aid Kit will headline their biggest South West show to date on the final day of the event. Find the full line-up here.

Bristol Pride have announced that Carly Rae Jepson will be hosting the event. Whilst Groove Armada will be coming to Bristol for the brand new Siren Festival.

Forward Festival is also new to Bristol, bringing The Chemical Brothers to everyone’s delight. In addition to The Chemical Brothers, the line-up confirmed so far includes Jamie XX, Little Simz, Róisín Murphy, Sleaford Mods, Caribou, Khruangbin and Fred Again.

Tokyo world should also bring stars to the city. This year the festival is being helmed by Busta Rhymes, with the likes of Above & Beyond, Faithless, Pendulum and The Streets’ Mike Skinner topping the bill. Among the DJs lining up to crack their sets are Annie Mac, Honey Dijon and Jamie Jones.
