- “I solemnly swear that I am up to no good.“ Warner Bros. Discovery, Inc WBD restarting Harry Potter as a TV series. author JK Rowling will serve as executive producer for the new show. Expect more chatter on social media about her views on the trans community and less about the merits of a show that’s nothing like its beloved film counterpart.
- “Open every curious door you find.” Netflix Inc NFLX never wanted to bow to “Stranger Things” with a fifth and final season in 2024. It’s arguably the streaming giant’s most popular show. I think that means the Hawkins kids will be singing a lot of songs that are hilarious and educational:
- Who’s Winning the Streaming Wars? Needham analyst Laura Martin pondered which streaming service is the best. In her opinion, Those of the Walt Disney Company DIS Disney+ and Amazon, Inc. AMZN Prime Video is superior to both Warner Bros. and Netflix. Laura is obviously not watching”Vanderpump Rules” because if it were her peacock would be the clear winner.
- Doge, do you want to see it? kabosuthe dog from the meme that inspired the cryptocurrency known as Dogecoins DOGE/USDYou get your own documentary. My dog, ernieheard this message and was like, “Kabo-who? Hasn’t Hollywood seen your TikTok videos of me?”
- Jed-i had had enough. Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy confirms at least three new Star Wars movies are on the way. For some reason, the news was announced at a Star Wars “Celebration” event on April 7th. Why wasn’t it announced on actual “Star Wars Day” May 4th? That would have made more sense… at least more sense than the plots of the last three Star Wars films.
- No Nintendo? no show. video game events company E3 wanted to throw a big gamer rager in Los Angeles June 13-16. This should be the first in-person party since COVID-19. But after the most popular girl in school Nintendo NTDOY declined the invitation, all other plastics – Sony SONY playstation, Microsoft MSFT xbox, Sega, Tencent TCEHY And Ubisoft UBSFF – also decided that they will not participate. In fact, Nintendo throws its own Party. And E3 is not invited. Her! E3, I’ll be around this weekend if you want to hang out. Can we play the new Resident Evil game?
- Other operations. MrBeast believes his YouTube brand is worth a shocking amount — a number “so crazy” he “didn’t even want to say it”; the final trailer for the new Zelda game; my conversation with The outdoorsman And Iron Mike.
