Picturestart, Topic Studios and Gloria Sanchez Productions will produce and finance musical comedy theater campwhere Tony, Emmy and a Grammy-winning actor are expected Ben Platt along with Noah Galvin, Molly Gordon, Amy Sedaris, and more. The film, based on a short film of the same name, revolves around the staff of a theater camp in New York. You must band together and work with the founder’s son to prevent the camp from being closed until his mother falls into a coma. As the summer session begins, despite their eccentric approach, they must find a way to keep things going and teach the campers.
Platt is no stranger to the theater world. He has been on stage since childhood. Since its launch, it has appeared in The Book of Mormon and The sound of music. His breakthrough came as a lead actor in the coming-of-age musical Dear Evan Hansen. Gordon and Galvin both starred book smartand Galvin is also Platt’s partner.

This will be Gordon and Nick Liebermans directorial debut. The film was written by Platt, Galvin and Lieberman, who also wrote the original short. Picture starts Eric Feige, Samie Kim Falveyand Julia Hammer will act as producers on the side Maria Zuckerman and Ryan Heller by Topic Studios, with Will Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, Alex Brownand Mary Bundy as producers for Gloria Sanchez Productions.
