NASCAR race results from Martinsville Speedway

Stage 1 – Report

Rounds: 80 (1-80 / 400)

Green flag, side by side for the turn one lead. Preece clears Suarez in turn three.

Lap 10, Erik Jones, Justin Haley and Austin Cindric run three wide into turn three. Cindric is pushed, almost spinning, but everyone keeps rolling.

Lap 68, Almirola leans on Suarez’s bumper for 2nd place. They rub doors and Almirola completes the pass, Tyler Reddick follows him through to take away the 3rd.

Stage 2 – Report

Rounds: 100 (81-180 / 400)

Green flag on Stage 2, Preece leads out of Turn 2 as Suarez and Almirola race side-by-side for 2nd place. Almirola wins the battle for 2nd place via the inside track.

Lap 133, Harrison Burton spins with the help of Erik Jones’ front bumper, caution.

Most of the field is headed for the pit lane. Ross Chastain is the only car to stay out.

Pit Penalties: Bubba Wallace, Martin Truex Jr. and Ryan Preece are caught speeding and all fall backwards.

Green, Chastain clears Suarez into turn two. Suarez throws a block at Almirola at turn three, but Almirola pushes in and takes away 2nd place.

Suarez dives back into Almirola and pushes him up the track. As they both run long, Todd Gilliland works under both, Gilliland in 2nd place!

Lap 162, Kevin Harvick works at Gilliland to take away 2nd place.

Lap 167, Harvick works inside Chastain in battle for the lead. With significantly fresher tires, Harvick takes the lead in the race. Briscoe quickly moves up to 2nd place.

Stage 3 – Report

Rounds: 220 (181-400/400)

Harvick leads the field into the pit lane. Briscoe wins the race to the pit exit.

Green flag on stage three, Briscoe makes the jump and is clear into turn one. Harvick defends Keselowski to hold 2nd place.

Lap 250, Briscoe leads with Denny Hamlin all over his bumper.

Lap 253, Hamlin driving on the outside lane into turn three. He builds momentum and crosses Briscoe on the front stretch. After several laps side by side, Hamlin completes the pass down the inside lane.

Round 275, Kyle Busch and Corey LaJoie play bumper tag. LaJoie turned the track to the left. Busch then lined him up and pushed him through the corner. This is a fight for the 28th.

Pit Penalty: Allmendinger is serving a pass-through penalty for speeding.

99 to drive, Anthony Alfredo lost a tire after his pit stop on the track and caution is over!

Daniel Suarez, Bubba Wallace, Michael McDowell, Martin Truex Jr. and Harrison Burton still had to pit. 11 cars are on the lead lap. Heading to pit lane, Chase Briscoe pedals to the front of the race.

Green, Briscoe and Larson run side by side into turn one. Briscoe wins the fight at turn two. Larson throws a block at Reddick.

58 to go

58 to go, JJ Yeley is in the outer wall and caution is off.

Kevin Harvick has a flat right front tire.

Briscoe leads the field into the pit lane. Larson takes only two tires and wins the race to the pit exit. Joey Logano, Aric Almirola and Denny Hamlin stay out.

Green, Logano is clear from turn two.

41 to go, Larson works inside Hamlin and he takes away 2nd place. Logano leads by 1 second.

37 to drive, Larson has climbed onto the bumper of Logano, fighting for the lead in the race.

34, Larson leans against Logano’s rear bumper, but he doesn’t push him out of the groove.

32 to go, Larson gets in high at turn three. He builds momentum and crosses Logano in turn four. He drives it deep into turn one, side-by-side for the lead.

29 to go, Larson Doors Logano and finally clears him, Larson leads.

With 10 to go, Larson leads Logano by 3.5 seconds.
