What did Ant and Dec say about I’m a Celebrity?
Hosts Ant & Dec posted on their own social media account, breaking rumors that an I’m A Celebrity special was in the works. In the video posted, Dec said, “Hi everyone, we have news for you guys.
“It’s probably the worst kept secret on TV, but we can confirm that we’ve got a very special series of ‘I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’ make! in South Africa.”
The show is normally filmed in Australia but was filmed in Wales to avoid complications with Covid-19 travel restrictions. The regular 2022 series, due to air this November, will again be filmed in Australia.
He explained that the planned All-Stars format – which will be separate from the regular series – will bring back some of the most popular contestants of the past two decades. Dec said: “We are here, it will be your favorite stars from the last 20 years who will return to South Africa once more.”
An all-stars edition of “I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here” was teased by the duo during an appearance on This Morning earlier this year.
Ant told the ITV daytime show: “I don’t know why it’s never been done before.
“But it’s a spin-off of the main show where we have ex-campmates who all get together in South Africa and take part in challenges and trials.”
When will I’m A Celebrity… All-Stars be on TV?
Ant & Dec haven’t managed to share the official release date of the spin-off series with fans just yet. However, they announced that the show will air sometime in 2023.
Who is in the rumored lineup?
Compiling a list of all-star nominees over the last 20 years won’t be an easy task for the producers. The Jungle (or the Castle) has seen the likes of Caitlyn Jenner, Peter Andre, Janice Dickinson and Katie Price on the camp beds.
The show has produced some of British reality television’s most iconic moments, including Paul Burrell’s mysterious wall challenge, Gillian McKeith passing out during a live trial and Jordan North’s “Happy Place” chant. So who could be returning for the All-Stars series?
So far there have been no official announcements about the cast. But that hasn’t stopped fans from filling their dream castings for an all-star series.
Some of the heavily rumored ex-campmates are ex-series champions Stacey Solomon, Gino D’Acampo and Vicky Pattison.
As well as boxer Amir Khan, former Made in Chelsea star Georgia ‘Toff’ Toffolo is also rumoured.
Lady C, one of the show’s most controversial contestants, is also on fans’ wish lists, as are international stars like Caitlyn Jenner and Janice Dickinson.
