Howard Stern’s interviews with Anna Nicole Smith caused a stir
Stern interviewed model and reality star Anna Nicole Smith several times on his show – and both times fans were outraged. On one occasion, Stern shamed Smith by calling the model a “heavy woman” and demanding that she weigh herself in the air, reports BuzzFeed.
During another interview, Stern asked Smith to allow a show employee Benji to accompany her to the bathroom and let him touch her. Smith seemed nervous about the idea, although she agreed.
Years later, following Smith’s untimely death in 2007, fans were demanding justice for the late star.
Stern is known for his outrageous comments about women’s bodies. When he interviewed young star Sarah Michelle Gellar for his show, he asked the actor if she made it a habit to “shave her privates completely.”
Gellar awkwardly admitted she was waxed, to which Stern responded that she must look “like a little baby.”
Although the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Star rolled the punches and handled the conversation like a pro, Stern’s comments clearly making her uncomfortable.

Pop star Harry Style attended Howard Stern’s radio show in 2020, which led to an awkward interaction.
When Styles began discussing his therapy sessions, Stern assumed the therapist was a man and quickly turned the conversation sexual after learning the “Adore You” star’s therapist was a woman.
The radio show’s host told Styles that the singer was “seducing her” and that he had “dad issues” and needed a “strong man” in his life. Stern advised Styles to go to a male therapist rather than a woman because she would not be able to resist sexual urges towards him.
The conversation forced Styles to defend his therapist, stammering, “She’s amazing.”
“He’s going to fuck that woman,” Stern announced to the room.
Styles, grinning sheepishly, declared, “No!”
What did he say to Spice Girl Emma Bunton?
Emma Bunton, better known as the Spice Girls’ Baby Spice, was a huge star when she joined the Howard Stern radio show in 2005.
In addition to bringing up Bunton’s sex life and sharing stories about when she allegedly lost her virginity, the shock jock also dubbed her “Swallow Spice.” The singer responded by saying Stern was being rude to her.

Howard Stern made Mariah Carey visibly uncomfortable
Mariah Carey was another singer who had an uncomfortable experience with Howard Stern. Early in her career, the superstar diva attended Stern’s show and endured one of the most awkward interviews she’s likely ever witnessed.
During the interview, Stern made a point of asking Carey if she wore underwear. He also joked that he loved how Carey liked to “show off” her body. The comment prompted the “All I Want for Christmas Is You” singer to tell Stern that he “mocked” her.
Although Carey handled the interview gracefully, her backlash at Stern proves she wasn’t too keen on his comments.
Viewers who saw a YouTube video of the encounter praised the “Vision of Love” singer for handling an awkward situation.
“OMG! I can’t believe Mariah ever did an interview with Howard Stern,” one commenter wrote. “He made her so uncomfortable. She must have said ‘Howard’ at least a hundred times in a pleading voice. I am but proud of her. She really stood her ground and wasn’t intimidated.”
