Renowned Japanese publisher Square Enix has two brand new video games that are receiving rave reviews from critics. Square Enix’s finances haven’t been great lately, but the company continues to release quality new releases.
Square Enix fans are probably most concerned about the upcoming launch of Final Fantasy 16. Currently scheduled for release on June 22nd Final Fantasy 16 will not only be the biggest Square Enix release of 2023, but potentially one of the biggest new game releases of the entire year. In the meantime, however, there are plenty of games for Square Enix fans to play, with two brand new releases proving particularly worthy.
Square Enix was released on February 16th Theatrrhythm Final Bar Line for PS4 and Switch and received widespread positive reviews from fans and critics alike. The latest edition in the final fantasy-based music/rhythm spin-off series, Theatrrhythm Final Bar Line possibly the best entry in the series so far. According to OpenCritic, it has an overall rating of 87 reviews, making it one of the highest rated games of 2023 so far. And while it’s a music/rhythm game, it’s still deeply rooted final fantasy‘s style, so fans of the franchise should definitely consider checking out the game if they get the chance. Fellow Square Enix release Octopath Traveler 2Has yet to be released but also has impressive reviews and has received an overall rating of 86 so far.
Octopath Traveler 2The release date of is February 24th, but reviews for the game have already been published. Many critics have cheered Octopath Traveler 2 far superior to the original Octopathic Traveler Game that maintains what many liked about this title while addressing its biggest flaws. Starting February 24th, those on PC, PS4, PS5, and Switch will have a chance to see for themselves Octopath Traveler 2 really lives up to the hype as the reviews would suggest.
